So yeah, after the demise of Picard and Discovery, we've still got more Strange New Worlds to explore!

 

They are doing this show at warp speed, aren’t they?

 

At this point, they kinda have to try and make up for DSC & PIC ending with no other new shows on the horizon.

I'm hoping they don't do "1 year per season", so we can get many more seasons before they even think about morphing into TOS 2.0.

Probably crafting a chart that illustrates exactly how this is in fact proof the show sucks.

 

Considering season 2 started filming about this time last year, season 3 filming starting now kind of makes sense. What is weird is no official renewal announcement from CBSViacom. The trades reported season 3 pre-production a month or so ago. Now the trades are reporting actual filming has begun and sill no formal pickup announcement. Strangeness abounds...

Its the only live action show still alive. They probably have this lined up to air after Disco's last season in spring next year. I wonder if they will try to do S4 back to back or if they need more data to decide whether to do S4.

 

They'll just be waiting to announce the air date for S2 - I'm guessing First Contact Day.

 

Streaming is a strange new world. Heck WB cancelled stuff they already made.

 

I'm guessing Early May, like last year for S2. Or whenever Picard ends, still have 5 episodes.
Or they may put in some Prodigy in between.

When will we actually get to SEE it?

I mean, I'm sure happy to hear that there will be a Season 3 but it's been so damned long since even the FIRST season aired that I was starting to think that even season 2 had been forgotten about.
