Yeah, Picard season 2 actually has several 12 Monkeys Easter eggs. It also shows that Vadic's group is part of a much larger intricate conspiracy, and she's likely the "first boss", not the "final boss". Hopefully the trailers don't reflect the show itself in that regard. The trailers aren't in high dynamic range color, have likely have been digitally manipulated to punch up certain aspects to sell the show, and even the version on Paramount+ isn't given the bandwidth to breathe.
Well, that is certainly......an opinion. Where's @Jayson1 when a deciding vote on monkeys is required? Either way, Star Trek is well known for reusing it's own props from series to series, and some of those have appeared on other shows as well.
The Allocator medical dispenser slot in "Critical Care(VOY)" became the NX-01 galley's beverage dispenser throughout all four seasons of ENT.
We did go though that with Spock, and everyone was happy afterwards. *Initially the plan was for Data's "katra" to emerge through B4 in a new TNG movie after Nemesis, and it may be that Terry Matalas is going to rectify that.
Mind if I ask a good faith question? Briefly, what did you think of ENT seasons 3 and 4? Did serialization and then tying it more into Star Trek history do anything to improve your impression of the series? Picard is having a change of showrunners, is promised to tie much more into the greater Star Trek universe, and fit in more with the TNG era. Are you interested in maybe checking out the season premiere?
I'd love to see the NX-01 on display there. In "TATV...(ENT)" Riker and Troi talk about it being a museum ship you could visit and tour.
Most of their guesses seem accurate, but they’re way off with the Babylon 5 ship. They’re looking at it from the wrong angle.
The trailer's dropped on Amazon Prime UK's channel (as again, Amazon hold distribution rights to Picard and Lower Decks outside the US) and seems to be waaaaaay better lit. I can actually see whats going on now and a lot of the "what the hell is going on in this shot?" bits from the trailer are now actually visible. Looks like Matals was right, it's lit better than the trailer suggested.
There is what appears to be a data transfer cable attach to Lore in the trailer, which could be from B4. And in the previous trailer trailer when Geordi says "Lore" it could that for awhile they had Data back, but then Lore reemerged later in the series. That's why I think there might be a merging of the three conciseness' into someone new.
I've often echoed my feelings on how I wasn't the biggest fan of Star Trek IV essentially undoing everything from the previous films. So, even if that had been the original plan with Data, that doesn't mean it's still something I agree with.
Did I just see what I thought I saw? A Refit-Constitution Class in the corner? That made my day. I hope that's the Enterprise-A. It might not be the original Enterprise, but at least it's one that Kirk was still Captain of. So it would be nice if that ship is in the museum.
