Thank you! The cough hasn't gone away yet, but at least I have energy again!

    Thank you!

Yes! I'm glad mine manifested as a bad cold this time. Could have been way worse.

    Working on them. Slowly. ;)

Introducing Admiral Dianne Belmont. Bonus points for those who can guess who she's based off of. :P

Admiral Necheyev? Although she has a resemblance to Doctor Janice Lester... :)

Oh I'm not going that much of a future deep dive into it. She's based more off a real world person that had a connection to the original series. The 'toon' version of her isn't quite what I wanted but ended up going with it anyway so that's probably throwing it off a bit.

Based on a similar first name, only, maybe Diana Muldaur? :)

I'm guessing the "situation in the Taurus Reach" that Nogura refers to is Operation: Vanguard? If so, great little nod to the novel continuity :bolian: (I love the Vanguard series)

Getting warmer, but not necessarily having a direct hand in the show like that.

Close. If no one gets it I'll do a write up for next week. ;)

It does indeed. Although this is slightly before he gets directly involved in the events of the novels as this is currently in 2265 and Nogura didn't get directly involved until 2266. But yeah, things are definitely developing there that will draw his attention ;) I figured it'd be a fun little nod and gave me an excuse to have Nogura off involved in something else entirely for a long while.

Yeah, they do take a while. One thing I'm a little concerned about is how small your ship is and that you've already shown us some of the interior, some of which seems to take up a lot of space. I just hope it doesn't turn into a TARDAS. Be willing to adjust the size and/or give it another deck if you need to make things fit. The deck plans I drafted started out being 84-meters long. Version 2 was 90 meters, then version 3 was 108 meters (and added a deck), and finally version 3.1 is 111 meters (had to stretch it three meters to add a cargo lift).

Oh, it all fits and then some. I have LOTS of room for engineering machinery on the back end even with full sets of corridors, sets, rooms, etc and have even more room for well, rooms, beyond that lol. You'd be surprised how much you can pack into a little ship at 5 decks! ;)

Just to note, I do remember those DC-published Trek comics of olde, written by Peter David that gifted us the character of R.J. Blaise...

Oh yeah. Just because you're enlightened doesn't mean you can't have clashes of personality and differences of opinion. ;)

She's one of my favorite things from his run. Granted at the point I'm introducing her into Tiny Trek we're looking at her about 23-25 years before she got assigned to Kirk's ship.

So, Dianne Belmont. Brief history of the real person that inspired the Admiral that's going to be popping up time and again.

She was born in 1911 in Jamestown NY. In 1929, she landed work as a model and moved to Broadway and began performing under the stage name Dianne Belmont. She'd move into films in the 30s and 40s and ended up on a radio sitcom. In the 50s, she'd end up starring in a television program with her then husband based off her former radio sitcom. It was massively successful and she and her husband ended up founding their own studio producing their own television shows. One of these shows, Mission: Impossible, would end up spinning off another series later on and a wildly successful action film franchise. The other show she banked on would end up as a massive sci-fi franchise that's been around for over 55 years, spawned multiple tv shows and thirteen feature films. That show, was Star Trek. She'd end up selling her production company, Desilu, to Paramount and would end up in several other sitcoms over the years. Dianne Belmont was better known as Lucille Ball.

Anyway, back to Tiny Trek ;)

Okay, think about this, guys. Unless that dino gets very tired very quickly, there has to be a reason for it to break off the pursuit. A very good reason. Good for the dino. Which might be bad for people. Very bad.
