I mean, just the initial dialogue where a guard discussed his issues with his stepson wasn't exactly "kid show" material. One needs blood and gore to say "Oh, ok, so this is adult stuff! I'm feeling so adult right now!"?
It wasn't the blood and gore, it was the fact there was a twist. The rest of it wasn't really anything that you wouldn't see in kids shows.
I bought all the collected editions for a good price on Comixology a few years back. I really enjoyed the series up until the "everyone in the Image universe fights for Earth" story and my interest waned. With Season 2 coming up, I think I'm going to try to finish the series again.
I loved the first season but I am going to have a big problem staying with the show if it keeps having delays like this.
Unfortunately agreed. I mean yes I guess you can blame the whole Covid-19 situation for some of the delay; but given the way animated series work, you think some aspect of the production could have been more fast-tracked given the whole covid situation.
Holy shit that cast list. There's also a visual novel coming out for Atom Eve https://store.steampowered.com/app/2060870/Invincible_Presents_Atom_Eve/
Am I strange for really liking this song that was in the Invincible pre Season 2 'Special Atom Eve Origin ' episode?
Is season 2 over?!! No way! You can't leave it there. The second half of season 2 has been amazing. The whole drama of what these characters have been going through has really become the focus of this series and it's so compelling. It grabs my attention more than any live action series has been doing at the moment. This and Star Wars The Bad Batch are top of the top.
I didn't realize that was the finale either! That was a rough season. It's interesting that Angstrom said Oliver didn't exist in any other dimension.
Makes sense when you think about it. Most other dimensions, at least the ones Angstrom is familiar with have Nolan succeeding in conquering Earth and Mark joins with him. Meaning in those realities, Nolan never beats the shit out of Mark and nearly kills him, meaning there he doesn't have a subsequent crisis of conscience, and doesn't end up on the planet of the bug people and therefore, Oliver would never be born.
