    Yes, everybody's favorite smart bespectacled smart gal is getting her own show, with the voice now being that of Mindy Kalling's;

    Hey, if Scooby and Shaggy can have their own show, why not Velma?

    If you had told me as a kid that there would someday be a Velma series I don't think I'd have believed you.

    I wonder if Velma will still have a thing for Sam.

    I don't think they're going to bother to include anybody from Supernatural this time (of course, I could be wrong.)

    Like I said, I'd like to see the same full CGI animation style as seen on Green Lantern: The Animated Series and in Scoob!

    Has anyone seen the first two episodes yet? I have, and I'm afraid it's rather dire. There are a few clever bits and I did laugh a few times, but mostly it's just trying to be edgy without actually being funny at the same time. The characters are extreme takes that are more like caricatures than characters. No Great Danes in sight. It's sad because I really wanted to like this.

    0/5 Stars.

    One of the worst shows I have ever seen. Painful to watch. Everyone is unlikable and unfunny. It is taking hits for its God awful Woke politics and anti-White bent. But while Mindy's politics may suck, just being God awful period is the main problem here.

    Female empowerment is once again being a mean-spirited, humorless, smarmy, condescending ahole. Inexplicably.

    And now, in an entirely unrelated situation 40 years later, women and men will be united in turning a blind eye to Velma.

    It could have come out last week, and that still has no connection whatsoever to Velma being an awful show. I am impressed actually with how broad the consensus on its suckage is. Across races, genders, politics and ideologies. In one harmonious voice, we call all warmly agree that this was terrible.

    Its politics have nothing to do with the poor quality of the show. It's just not funny.

    As I said, the main problem is that it just awful. Unfunny, unlikeable characters are the main component. Velma looks like Velma but is not the same character at all. It's just Mindy being an insufferable, condescending, smarmy, unfunny ahole thru the image of "Velma". Shaggy is not Shaggy, etc. And none are improvements. I would add her garbage Woke nonsense in as well. And I suspect that pushing that BS, rather than being funny was a problem here. Your mileage may vary.

    So far, that appears to be the case with most reviews. It must take a new level of untalented hack-work to unite audiences who rarely see eye-to-eye on much.

    Being 'woke' isn't a bad thing. The show just has terrible writing.
