James Cameron's Avatar Sequels Possible Titles Revealed

I dunno, I have never seen a good movie that did not have a metacritic rating 5 days before release.

 

There was a…softness about the Na’vi in the first movie. They look more concrete and grounded due to improved technology…but I liked the softness.

I guess you could explain that as humans being the Apple to their Eden…

I'm not watching any reviews until after I see it on Friday in IMAX 3D.

 

Looks like my mom and I won't be seeing Way of Water until Monday or Tuesday. I really want to see this in HFR 3D on one of the biggest screens in the theater, and all of those shows this weekend are back on the tiny screens. Our theater is a big 18 screen multiplex, but it has three different sized theaters and screens, with tiny ones way in the back, medium ones in the middle, and then the biggest ones in the front. The first HDR 3D showings on one of the big screens don't happen until Monday.

 

Hm. My gut reaction was that this was a stupid move, leaving money on the table as most people would want to see the movie that way. But then I remembered that Disney gets the lion's share of the first weekend's box office, with the theater's share growing as time goes by. So, the theater might be betting on most people waiting to see it in the bigger format, or best case scenario, watching it a first time with one of these quality caveats and coming back again to see it a second time in the best quality on the biggest screen. So, actually, not a stupid move, at all.

Just came back from the theater, and it was soooo good. Definitely gonna go see it again, probably several times.

 

Very glad to hear, seeing in the AM and I seriously can't wait.

 

It's a solid action movie and the best looking movie I've seen in years.

 

People around me immediately reminded me why I didn't miss cinemas in the last 3 years, but the movie was amazing. More beautiful, more moving, more meaningful than the first one, which was already great.

After years and years of telling myself I was going to do so, I bought the Extended Collector's Edition Blu-ray and started rewatching the film, and I'd forgotten just how much I actually enjoyed it back in the day. I'm also really excited to see the sequel, which my family might be going to see on Christmas Day.
