The Rookie has a spinoff. 9-1-1 has a spinoff. Grey's Anatomy has two spinoffs but not at the same time. Walker has a prequel.

Topping them all, there are currently three NCIS, three Law & Order, three FBI and three One Chicago shows on network TV. Which franchise among them is the best?

Out of the poll options, NCIS is the only one I watch and enjoy. I've tried the FBI shows, and while International is a bit enjoyable, the other two just seem so dry.

I still watch Law & Order, although the newest version is a shadow of its former self. I watch Chicago Fire but can't stand the other "Chicago" shows. I have tried to watch Chicago Med because I really like Oliver Platt...but even he can't save that Mad Libs version of a show--it's really dreadful.

So, I voted Law & Order, but really, none of the choices are great here.

I don't watch any of those anymore, but will go with Law & Order because of Ice-T.

L&O, Chicago and FBI all share a universe, so it can be argued they're the same franchise. ;)

That said: For me, it's Chicago. I could stand L&O more without Benson. There, I said it.

Law & Order. FBI had a chance to hook me but Most Wanted turned to crap and International is awful.

    Talking of L&O and Chicago:

I know they used to have regular crossovers (Chicago and SVU) but does anyone remember if the Chicago detectives ever came to New York? For some reason I only remember the SVU ones going to Chicago.

I don't know if I can say I've ever really watched a TV 'franchise'.

I would have voted for none of above and list Star Wars. Wars has had one stinker in OBI-WAN but when you got The Mandalorian,Andor, The Bad Batch, Tales of the Jedi you can't go wrong. Plus Visons and Bobba Fett aren't stinkers and are passable

Star Trek and the MCU would come next in line and I think soon you got to list Yellowstone as well.

Star Wars, the MCU and Yellowstone are not on network television, and therefore wouldn't count as a "franchise currently on network TV" this thread specifies. Star Trek has only had three shows that were network shows, the last of which ended seventeen years ago, so therefore it's not "currently on network TV" either.

This day and age, "network TV" means less and less every second.

There was a two part crossover (PD then SVU) concerning an SVU cold case suspect operating in Chicago. Finn and the other guy detective went to Chicago to help the Intelligence unit get him, then he kidnapped the unit's secretary and Voight and Lindsay chased him back to New York.

As for the thread question, it's a numbers game for me, so I have to go with FBI-verse. It's the only one where I watch two of the shows regularly (Original and Most Wanted.

NCIS NOLA is cancelled and Mark Harmon has left the original and taken any reason to watch with him, and Hawaii is literally just "Hey, why don't we take these old locations for 'Hawaii 5-0' and build a new show around them?" That leaves NCIS LA, the premise of which never made sense to me, so I rarely watch it. The only Chicago verse show I watch regularly is PD and I never thought any spinoff series was more watchable than the OG Law & Order and with the reboot I find that's still the case.

Just checked the L&O wiki - there was also the crossover with the sex trafficking ring (which began with Chicago Fire, continued in P.D. and ended on SVU) which had Voight, Lindsay and Halstead all come to New York.

I've got to go with NCIS, I really enjoy all three of the current shows. I have watched and enjoyed a few episodes of each of the current L&O shows, but not as much as the NCISs.

From that list, FBI is the only one that I watch.

Even then, I only watch FBI, not the international or the other one; although I did bring myself to watch the international and the most wanted FBIs, in order to see the start and finish to the recent FBI crossover event. FBI was sandwiched in between the two.

It was a struggle just to get through the FBI international segment of the crossover. I was surpised to see Nina make a comeback appearance in that segment. And she was back in the FBI season finale as well. And she delivered a healthy baby. aww. That schmaltzy ending was quite a contrast to so many of this season's episodes that had a melancholy and/or solemn ending.

Btw, has Maggie and Nina ever appeared in the same scene together?

Anyway, FBI may be a network show, but I watched it on Paramount+.

CSI is the only of the current franchises I ever regularly watched, even though I haven't for decades, I'll have to say that.
