Didn’t watch much of Batman:TAS, watched JLA and played half the Arkham games, and his voice was the “voice” of Batman to me. So much so that it was like nails on a chalkboard when someone else was voicing the animated version. RIP Kevin. Thanks for being Batman.
Damn, this is a terrible loss! I didn't even know he had cancer. Fucking cancer. Again. Rest in peace, Kevin Conroy. Thank you for the finest Batman ever.
Sat down tonight and watched "Almost Got 'Im" and "Joker's Millions" from Batman: The Animated Series and Batman: Mask of the Phantasm in Kevin Conroy's honor tonight. Plenty of actors have played Batman, but Kevin Conroy was Batman. I don't normally get too sad over celebrity deaths, but I'm sad over his. I was six years old when Batman: The Animated Series premiered, and a little piece of my childhood died today. Rest in Peace, Dark Knight.
A friend of mine told me that he and Christopher Reeve were almost roommates at one point. Can you imagine Supes and Batman rooming together?? Anyway, R.I.P to a great voice actor.
I loved hearing him on "Batman: Brave and the Bold" as the Batman of Zur-En-Arrh, kinda doing a Clark Kent impression and having him alongside Diedrich Bader I also freaking love him and Tim Daly together in real life
