I always thought it was foolish, what with all the problems that team has been burdened with for the past 2+ decades, the only thing they’ve really been focusing on in the past couple of years was the fucking team name (as if that would somehow make it a championship contender). If anyone thinks that Snyder did that out of some sense of social justice, they’re kidding themselves. It was his meager effort to keep his bottom line intact. Unfortunately, for everyone concerned, nobody in DC, Northern Virginia or Maryland will conduct business with him, beyond the existing contracts. The well has been poisoned, the soil has been salted, it’s time for Dark Heart to finally pack up his shit and fuck off once and for all. Good riddance.

But "Commanders" involved hours of market research.

If only the NFL had an Adam Silver as commissioner.....

TENS of hours, in fact. I believe one of the other options was "Admirals". Seems they got a demotion somewhere along the way. :D
Heh, yeah, then they, too, would be owned by the CCP.

Hence the new name "Washington Commies"! Coincidence? I think NOT!

Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith is the NFL's Offensive Player of Month for October.
Who would have thunk it at the beginning of the season?

I remember last year being relieved that Russell Wilson couldn’t play against us, and then Geno picked us apart and they nearly beat us.

Kind of a feel good story.

Dolphins give Bradley Chubb a five-year, $110 million extension.

Michael Thomas to undergo toe surgery, likely to miss the rest of the season.

Rashod Bateman will also miss the rest of the season after foot surgery.

Ray Guy passes away at the age of 72. :(

Let the rumor mill begin. Potential buyers for the Washington Commanders include a Jeff Bezos/Jay-Z partnership, Ted Lerner (Nationals owner) and Byron Allen (who tried to buy the Broncos earlier).

To piggyback off my previous post: please don't let it be Bezos.

It would be weird, but I wouldn’t mind if the Manning family threw their hats into the ring for it.

I think it's gonna be Bezos. Which is kinda funny since he could just buy the whole NFL if he really wanted to.

Probably. I've never done the math, but I'd guess he's worth more than the total sum value of all 32 franchises.

Forbes lists the most valuable team at $8 billion (Cowboys) and the least valuable at $3 billion (Bengals), so Bezos would come up a little short.

Josh Rosen is available. Then they'd have him, Mayfield and Darnold.

The Bears/Dolphins game is very entertaining.

    The Packers/Lions…not so much.
