Yeah. Why sully such a respectable actor by putting him in one of their movies. Have you seen the types of people they'd rather cast in these things of late?

Grant Gustin is an absolutely fine TV actor in that slightly wooden soap fashion but he's not someone you'd put in a big film.

I suspect by the time they try to release this EM will be doing bird and the circumstances will make it impossible to release in any form.

    Because...

    ^ This.

M'rk son of Mogh: again, the PTB are producing big screen DC films with a certain level of performer, and in no part of that mix are they going to put anything from Berlanti's low-rent crap into that--not actors, characterization, or anything else.

Your other statement--about the "type" of people they'd "rather cast"--is makes no sense as a would-be argument as it suggests WB knew about Miller's recent behavior/acts at the time he was signed, but that had not presented itself during that period, so your argument is rather fallacious. You get that, don't you?

..and i'm fairly sure in the event the DCEU's Flash is recast, WB/D has a wealth of talent to choose from, which is not coming from Berlantiland.

There are some people who think their loud obnoxious support for Warners in all circumstances will magically result in the triumphant return of their lord and master Zack Snyder.

"Sadly" they're just setting themselves up for disappointment.

Funny how those who harbor an extremely unhealthy resentment of a director are the only people relentlessly posing direct commentary about him, keeping the conversation going, instead of said conversation going away, as they pretend is their desire.

    Amusing.

Do you dream about him at night holding you tightly in his manly arms? Feeling his hot breath in your ear as he whispers, "Anyone who thinks Superman shouldn't kill people is a cuck loser."

The Following post says all anyone would ever need to wonder about your self-conceived, obsessive hatred of Snyder and apparently, board members--

The man did not do a thing to you, but your warped sense of entitlement about entertainment, fuels your ridiculous hatred of Snyder and board members, as if your life will come crashing down if you do not get what you want, when you want it. Seek professional help.

Hey, I loved the Snyder DC movies. Man of Steel, Wonder Woman, BvS, Suicide Squad and ZS' JL are all very enjoyable.

But it's as dead as the reboot Star Trek movies. Deader even, since Paramount keep announcing ST4 over and over but WB have been crystal clear for a long time that they're not going back to Snyderverse.

Sometimes you've just gotta let go.

Agreed. What remains of Synder-era creations will still be in Aquaman 2 & The Flash (obviously), including Affleck's Batman, then the series moves on, with--according to Zaslav--a focus on the "big three" DC characters (and still no word if Gadot or Cavill will be brought back for that), yet its quite disturbing to see some spit fire and venom at everyone over the existence of a director (or acknowledging his contributions)...yet they continue to name/obsess on him at every turn.Textbook case of not being able to let it go.

Regarding ST4...unless the project has been officially declared cancelled, there might be a chance for that happening, but i would not be shocked if it were recast from top to bottom, or align it with the current TV series as being its own, official TOS.

As things currently stand, any claims about DC's main filmic universe not remaining connected to what Zack Snyder established are equivalent to the "big lie" about the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election.

Ezra is doing his best to screw up The Flash releasing........I'd trade Flash for Batgirl at this point.

It was just meant to be a joke. Obviously Grant would never take it, they wouldn't head in that direction anyways and after so many years of seeing him I'm also ready for someone new.

But geez. Not everything has to be as serious as a slow motion Snyder film.

Sounds like we couldn't have had Batgirl without Flash first anyway (for reasons). Ezra's almost certainly blown both movies sky-high now, more than doubling the write-off WB was about to eat.

If its true, I can think of a few reasons, but they don't all match exactly with what the head of Discovery/WB has said recently:

    1. It could be much cheaper then Batgirl (but that doesn't fit the whole "Only Big Theatrical Films" thing)
    2. They might consider the Harley Quinn/Birds of Prey to be successful, so (like Peacemaker, apparently) they consider it a "safe" project, instead of something that isn't a direct spinoff of an already released project.
    3. Kind of related to #2, they liked HQ/BoP and/or really want to stay on Margot Robbie's good side, so projects connected to that film are still getting made to keep various people happy.

Those are just three reasons that came to mind immediately, they could all easily be completely off base, its just what I thought of when hearing the news.
