According to Ed Harris, they start filming Season 5 in April 2023, even though no official announcement about a renewal has actually yet been made by HBO.
That is exactly how the corporate side works. They do not screw around and just let things pass. All true. ...and there's no way studios are going to throw their collective hands up and allow leaks/piracy as some "uncontrollable" event they "just" need to live with. They do not see their property in such a loose way, and have no problem setting the law loose on anyone screwing with (stealing / leaking) said property. Yes. Ah, I see. I'd say its just the opposite; comics are a slowly (but surely) dying medium, only there as a well from which adaptable IPs are stored for use in other media. Not only has the general culture changed where reading comics are concerned, but DC has made quite a lot of money on certain licensed IPs in film and merchandising. If those avenues for profit did not exist at all, and it was all just the comic book medium, its highly doubtful comics (at least superhero comics) would exist today.
Well, I hate how I'm sounding like one of "Those" fans but Westworld was never able to maintain the heights of S1...so if it's ending, then good.
Millar charged with felon burglary… https://variety.com/2022/film/news/ezra-miller-burglary-the-flash-vermont-1235336304/
Now we get to see how far Zaslav's head is stuck in the sand! Delay it a year and CGI Grant Gustin in. Edit:"Police located Miller on Aug. 7 at 11:23 p.m. and issued them a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court on Sept. 26 for arraignment." There is zero chance they turn up for that. After which, let the Manhunt, er, Themhunt begin!
WB/DC- We're going to release a special comic coinciding with Ezra Miller's trouble with the law!" "The Flash: Most Wanted"
I think/hope this did get scrapped before it was due to go on sale. (Yes it's drawn by Flash movie director Andy Muschietti.)
Just had a look at the Vermont laws and for Felony Burglary you can get up to 15 years or 20 if armed (which by all accounts Miller always is these days). Sadly you can also get away with just a fine, so as a rich white person that's probably what will happen. Now if Leslie Grace has been caught breaking into someone's house, it'd be a different story.
Its like Ezra Miller is on some Carmen Sandiego style crime spree, at this point its not if Miller is going to get in trouble for something new on a semi regular basis, its where he's going to get in trouble thats the question.
WB might be able to make a profit on the inevitable The Ezra Miller Story biopic, well, if they can make room with airings of Naked and Afraid Uncensored. If they had stolen a print of Batgirl I'd at least feel a little conflicted about it. Nice that they just gets a citation to appear for this. EDIT: oops, fixed pronouns
