Have you payed attention how much power there was available and how much of it was used during the episode?
I got lost last time going though this episode.

At some point they ran out of power to replicate complicated elements in the replicator, at some point they were able to try the ”Borg weapon”. Life support was cut back to save energy for the buzzard collectors. Those might have not been the only ones.

They did have an antimatter reactor, did the rift also drain that, what....

Maybe this is one of those episodes where thinking too much hurts the plot.

Oh, and it is Bussard collectors. No buzzards were harmed in the making of this episode.

Um.... can I talk my way out of this with Wikipedia:
"Buzzard is the generic name of several species of birds of prey."
    You know, Klingon Bird-of-Prey....
Too bad there isn't a bird species named Vor'cha anywhere?

Just "collecting" them for extra power when the mice on the wheels weren't pulling their weight! ;)

Ok, it didn't exactly make sense... but that scene in Beverly's makeshift morgue was still awesome. In a scary, make you freak out sort of way.

It makes as much sense as asking "Where are you?!" 200 times when they tell you that one moon circles :D

Or does it makes just as much as sense as repeatedly whispering "One Moon Circles" when you really mean you need hydrogen and that very image is kinda tied to an outdated/simplified depiction of how atoms work? ;)

The whole "eyes in the dark, one moon circles" thing was how Deanna's brain was interpreting the very alien concept being transmitted to her. She was just getting fragments of the meaning, and that was how her mind filled in the gaps. The words and images came from her, as the closest approximations in her memory to the vague concepts she was sensing.

    I know ;-)

I still always found it pretty silly, and that the other Betazoid apparently had the exact same interpretation (though we could be generous and say either it's something about Betazoid language or that he picked the picture up from her and repeated it)
