Huh... maybe they're withdrawing from foreign markets and circling the wagons back home, going back to their original scope. Still wouldn't buy anything from even the UK site until reliability can be assured going forward. That's a big ask right now.

That's not the store, though. It's just the regular website, advertising the collections. If you click through to the store you get

Is there any way to track the UK version of bankruptcy which I have no familiarity with? See what might be restructured by this process?

I would assume at the moment any type of “we’ll be back” message is just for the going out of business sale where they get as much as they can for all remaining stock.

If they even get that far. Retail sales require staff to complete. Which Eaglemoss might not have.

The company might just have to turn over whatever stock they have to their creditors.

In the US, there are companies that are usually employed by creditors to help with the liquidation process. So, there will be employees just not necessarily Eagle Moss's. Again, different countries but I've watched it enough times to know the US side.

I'd bet the cheapest thing to do would be ship any remaining stock to Amazon and let them sell it. Could even use the Eaglemoss storefront for that.

My assumption is any remaining stock tilts largely towards the most recent releases. If one was hoping to get some obscure ship from the Starship Collection, that's probably not happening.

I think they have a similar process over there. And it's also possible that some of the stock in the US would be liquidated in the US.

But I don't think that would happen before the liquidation. And they wouldn't necessarily dump the stock quickly and cheaply, especially now that the secondary market has raised the value of those assets quite dramatically. The creditors will want to squeeze every penny out of Eaglemoss that they can.

It would depend greatly on what will garner the most money to pay back the creditors.

My grad school office sent me a congrats email after I passed the defense with a picture of a text in which 67% of the words were spell-underwiggled :D

There is a brand new distribution centre just outside Dublin, so that would be handy if they did that for the likes of myself.

Amen... sick of paying Brexit import tax on Amazon purchases here. About time they opened amazon.ie and did it properly.

LOL, I just finally started buying Eaglemoss last year with the Akira XL and Nebula XL. I got a bad Nebula XL (crooked sensor pod at the top) and exchanged it at Amazon. I have been hoping to see a Stargazer II XL from them someday, but oh well…

The most lucrative thing they could do is auction off the parts of the kits, since there are lots of people desperate to finish, demand will be high. If you win it and it's one you already paid for, you should get a credit for what you already spent. This assumes that all the pieces have been made.

They already knew it in mid spring. Here is why:

I ordered some Alien and BS Galactica ships (no 3000 pieces Limited Editions) from german Eaglemoss Shop in spring and was wondering why they didn't ship the models after weeks. I confronted the support with the problem. They answered that it was a availability bug on their webshop. These models are not on stock and will never come back again. They canceled the orders.

They already knew there wouldn't be any restock in the future...

Makes sense - these sorts of bankruptcies don't usually appear magically out of nowhere. Anyone with access to the balance sheets can see what's coming.

Yeah they seemed to have a bunch of sales in 2022 to try to bring in cash urgently. Obviously it wasn't enough.

Yeah, they had that huge 50-75% off sale in early 2022 that ran for like a month. Then followed it up with another sale of 25% with free shipping.

in hindsight…there were plenty of signs.

The Star Trek shop has a few of the ships now for sale online. Just got an email about it. Not sure if they were always available through the Trek store.
