Agree, but it really depends on how tall the engineering hull is. If A) it's really flat and B) without a neck connection to the saucer and C) the two lateral nacelles are mounted rather high to balance things out (maybe a bit less extreme than an upside-down Hutzel)... It might just look good. Maybe.

The 32nd century reincarnation looks really snazzy, so I too would be interested in a 25th version, also!

I just want an Enterprise that I like. I haven’t been truly happy with an Enterprise design since Probert’s Enterprise-D (although I do have a soft spot for the J.)

I like the design of all the non-JJ Enterprises except for the B. They should have just kept the clean Excelsior design for it instead of adding in all the extra stuff. I think the E-E gets a lot of unfair hate simply because it replaced the E-D and people don’t like they way the E-D was destroyed.

For the E-F, just gimme an original design. Not something taken from STO, not a “refit” of something, etc…give it 5 nacelles for all I care.

    Please, no J.

I get the love for the ENT-D (I don't share it but whatever). I like the E well enough but I think the new Stargazer model shows that it's fun to make something that just pops and stands out. I would like to see that a little bit more.

At least the 1701-J is circa 2570 in the timeline so it's a good 170 years into the future. I doubt we'll see anything that wild and remotely that big in this timeframe.

Yeah, it's really weird with the Enterprise D, it seems to be a "lightning caught in a bottle". For some reason it seems to be really hard to update the design or to create alternate designs based on the same proportions. I've seen plenty of fan designs over the years - and STO designs, too - which seemed created in the spirit of the Galaxy class, and I tried to do it myself... but only a handful manages not to look completely terrible.

Meanwhile the Constitution class lends itself to all kinds of interpretations - fan made or official - while still retaining many of its characteristics, especially the elegance, weightlessness and snazzyness. Eg the Sovereign is nothing but a reincarnated Connie, it would be even more obvious if it had a neck.

I find the Galaxy's wide saucer is the culprit. Everything else is so finely tuned to work with this dominant element that any change to the proportions throws the design off balance. Which is a shame, because I really like the Galaxy, too and would like to see attractive variations of it.

the funny thing is, if you swap out the nacelles and tweak a few other things, the Discoprise would actually look like a good 25th century version of the Constitution Class.

    size wise it certainly fits.

I like the Sovereign but it's basically what would happen if Voyager and a Connie had a child but fed it growth hormone.

Sounds pretty realistic. Similarly to how the Disco-era Shepard class was upgraded to the PIC-era Gagarin class. Although, the Connie would maybe need more tweaks. I'm not a STO player, but I've seen 25th century Connies created for the game.

The D was my absolute dreamship and I was devastated when it was destroyed, and thought no successor can ever be as nice. But then the E actually was even more beautiful and I've loved her more ever since :D

Remember there were a few more images of a ship from Season 3 that were teased on Twitter ages ago. Can't say for absolute certain that it's the same ship that was blurred out in the footage of the bridge though. Or if all of these images are of the same ship for that matter.

Behind spoiler tags as they are reasonably sized.

I thought these images were of the Stargazer from S2?

Yeah, I'm 99% sure that's the Stargazer's bridge module area.

The EPS Network photo was posted at the start of January, quite late into Season 3's production so its definitely not an image from S2. The other two were from late September which I'm sure would have been early in Season 3's production.

Agree the first one looks like the Stargazer, but it definitely appears to be from Season 3.

I suppose the only thing that made everyone think the Stargazer wasn't the hero ship anymore was when Matalas said "That's not the Stargazer" in reply to a photo of the bridge during S3 filming. Maybe it still is?

They probably held those pics back to use them later to hype up the season premiere. Because at least the EPS Network pic shows almost definitely the Stargazer. Same windows along the saucer's edge, same phaser banks, same bridge area shaping including window front.

The only difference seems to be the placement of transport arrays or something-or-the-other, the two dark orange squares, which on your pic are aligned with the windows on the edge, while on the model they're btw the bridge and the phaser strips.

Top 2 are Stargazzer, 100% on the first image, about 90% sure 2nd, the 3rd is shaped like a Luna class abit, so it "May" be the Titan.

Both the USS Luna and the USS Trumbull have been mentioned as ships we might possibly see in season 3.
