Interesting that the bridge seemed steeper...

Then you don’t understand what canon is.
The party line is the same as it’s always been.

"Canon" is such a misused word it's lost much of it's meaning. It seems to come from a general negative view of CBS and their "party line."

DSC and SNW are canon. They can also be considered to be soft reboots, just like Superman Returns is a soft reboot of the Christopher Reeve films (although Superman Returns is arguably better at it than DSC and SNW is.)

TMP, TWOK and TNG too, for those of us non Superman fans.

Yup. All of those examples were meant to be soft reboots by the people who created them. Then Paramount decided to make them all part of the same universe, and the ‘soft reboot’ concept went away.

IF RMB is telling the truth about the Starfleet musuem, what ships would some of you like to see there?

I want to see the NX-01, as it was said to be a museum piece in TATV.

What other ships haven't been destroyed??

    1. The Enterprises-A and B, just to show that the ships were simply decommissioned and not just destroyed like most Enterprises were.

    2. Other ships from the TMP era, preferably new designs. I don’t need to see the Miranda class ever again.

    3. Picard’s old Stargazer.

    4. The Ambassador class and any variants thereof, including Probert’s version.

    5. Intact Wolf 359 designs.

Did you mean E? Because the C was destroyed by the Romulans.

Nope I goofed. I meant the A and B. Edited my post accordingly.

I would like to think that the E was still in service up to 2411 and was decommissioned to make way for the F.

    Wall according to RMB
Earth Spacedock has been turned into a museum, it isn't a separate place

Okay, they're not all bad. I like the Cheyenne and New Orleans classes. We should have seen more of them.

I guess both can be canon in a multiverse, although they certainly can't exist in the same continuity at this point. And I strongly object to everything Star Trek from 1966-2005 being overwritten for the glorious offerings of STD and SNW. Well, maybe the SNW / STLD crossover will have not just time travel but a multiverse component. Then we can all have our cake and eat it too!

Meanwhile I'm even more optimistic about Picard season 3 with the new comments from Matalas and Burnett. Maybe in a year or two we'll all even be able to start having conversations about how to start healing the schisms in the fandom. I can't be the only continuity purist that isn't willing to go black pill scorched earth...
