I am so pumped. I teared up a bit when they got to DS9. I also teared up a bit at the Picard trailer. And, I don't even cry usually.
It was more than just the DS9 appearence for me. It was actually seeing an animated version of the Wormhole. I'm just really glad the Wormhole is coming back and I wish Picard would have shown it so we can see the updated effects.
LD is the one Trek show I'm looking forward to without reservations. If I had my way with the DS9 episode, they'd feature Kira (preferably still in command of the station, but I'll take Prime Minister, too - she'd be on a visit), Quark, O'Brien, Garak. Nog and Odo would be mentioned. A Kira/ Quark showdown with Mariner being very impressed. Highly unlikely, but I can dream!
I wonder if we'll get another Gomez level cameo this season. Because that was completely out of left field Or would have been if it hasn't accidentally been spoiled, but I imagine most people didn't get spoiled as it was in an obscure podcast that was taken down.
Oh wow!! I'm going to get in trouble for declaring this too often but possibly the most hyped for Trek that I've been in my 30ish years of watching it. The pylons! Seeing the wormhole open! It's not just being fed exotic fruit by aliens with slightly different nose ridges! Martok!!! I'm so happy
