After I posted this, I remembered that I saw John Wick on Peacock, and I've been wanting to see that for ages, so I started it this morning. It was great, but after about an hour one of the animal sanctuaries I follow went live on IG, so I stopped to watch that. I'll finish John Wick tonight or tomorrow morning.
Watched a little British indie over on Netflix titled "A Call to Spy ". Basically the beginnings of SAS early in WW2 and it's recruitment of women to be spies and operatives, plenty of field work in occupied France. Very good period piece based on true stories. Excellent little movie. Well worth the watch... 8.5 - 9/10 Q2
I just got finished watching all of Next Generation TV series and now am starting on the movies. I missed these characters and just felt like watching them all again!
We saw Thor: Love & Thunder this morning, it was fun. On Friday night I watch The Thing on TCM, and they showed the 1978 Invasion of The Body Snatchers, but that was on too late for me, so I waited and watched online on Saturday morning. I've watched them both before, but it's been years, so I didn't remember them very well.
There was nothing good on TV on Friday night, so I decided to watch the Steven Spielberg War of the Worlds movie. I've seen this one a couple times before, and I really enjoyed it. I don't think I'd put it up there with classics like Jurassic Park, or Jaws, but it's still good. We then a big lightning storm Saturday, and all I could think of the whole time was the movie. This morning I watched the second Timothy Dalton James Bond movie, License to Kill, which I had never seen before. I didn't enjoy it quite as much as The Living Daylights, but I still thought it was pretty good.
I don't know if this would be considered a movie, but I purchased The Beatles 'Get Back' documentary over the weekend and finished watching part three last night. When the four (five if you include Billy) of them step out onto the roof and launch into 'Get Back', the hair on the back of my arms stood up. Even after being off the road for three years, they still had it.
I watched Studio 666 on Amazon last night. It's pretty good. It's a horror movie produced by the Foo Fighters about the Foo Fighters wanting to make a new album and end up recording in a mansion where people were murdered and a Satanic cult was involved. Doesn't turn out too well for Dave Grohl and co.
Halllmark mystery movies Aurora Teagarden, I just started watching them. The library does not have all of them so I have seen only 6, there are like 18.
