Well they're smaller versions of the bull turrets seen in the movies and SNW. They're like the size of the ones on NX-01 which Im sure the characters held and were the size of a basketball.

(Disclaimer: Haven't seen the ENT episode in question for YEARS)

Bit larger than that – they looked like giant versions of the phase pistols and were perhaps a metre long.

The white dome is the equivalent of the underside of the saucer. Maybe one big crystal.

STO's Community manager said more STO stuff is being brought into canon in a recent live stream, but he didn't say what, where or when.

For sure, all of this is as substantial as a gnats fart on the wind. If there's an Enterprise F in Picard it might be something completely different to the Odyssey class. I won't deny that I'd be kinda thrilled if it were the Enterprise F from STO, but it's not something I'm pinning my hopes on; but I'll be sure to riot and type in block caps if it isn't.

Yeah, I'd rather they create a new design for new hero ships in the shows. Keep existing designs for secondary and background ships.

An Enterprise absolutely deserves a brand new design which has gone through the same design process as a hero ship for a new series.

It’s time we receive some USS Enterprise goodness again. It should be obvious - Discoprise in SNW, Enterprise-E in LD, Odyssey-class Enterprise-F in PIC, and Captain Saru’s Enterprise-Q in DSC.

How are you going to handle it if the Enterprise-F in Picard isn't the Odyssey/Yorktown?

Either consider that it gets refitted severely, or await STO’s response.

Worse case: During DST Birmingham in 2019, STO community rep Mike Fatum said that the world of STO could become an alternate timeline if the shows establish something irreconcilable. So far, they mesh okay, e.g. the Odyssey class appeared in Countdown to Picard.

I'm almost willing to bet it's going to be the Odyssey-type. After all this hype and build-up, it almost needs to be now.

I'd rather it be a refitted Enterprise-E myself. Seven Enterprises in only 150 years (with a 20-year break between two of them)? That kind of sucks as far as ship longevity or survival rate goes, IMO. If I was a fleet admiral, I might consider the Enterprise name actually cursed...

Same. Time to retire the name and number, hang it up in the arena and have a nice BBQ lunch to celebrate the history.

That would be my first choice as well. Sure it's been around a long while, but not that long in starship terms and I'd rather see its final mission than its replacement.

They've said a couple times since then that they're picking and choosing what they adopt from the new shows.

Personally, I hope they either refit the E, or use a completely original design for the F. But, then again, I’ve never played STO, so I have no attachment to the Odyssey Class.

Drag the 1701-E out of mothballs to go on one last mission with the old crew.
