I don't think he was being dense but had intuition he couldn't place logically. Chapel is saying that T'Pring wants Spock to prioritize her over his career. I think Spock somehow already foresees that even if he does that, T'Pring will still dump him for someone more Vulcan then him. But he can't logically prove it. But it's something he senses, especially with her criticism of his human style quarters.

And as we all know no matter what Spock does T'Pring will dump him. Spock is being smart, not dense. Guys like this are placed in these impossible situations all the time. Prioritize a relationship over their career and then end up with neither because the other party was just using the career as an excuse to berate the man. I had a neighbor who literally lost a job after such a scenario.

You seem to project a lot of personal stuff onto the characters.

I feel it is because spock by lore is a very dignified character, despite the gender issue knowing a man wont smack a woman even for fun, I think slapping Spock here is the same way I will feel if someone slapped Whoopi Goldberg Guinan from TNG.

This wasn’t an Enterprise issue this was going on since TNG aired and before, now people might notice more as non live programming ratings declined, sports programming still delivered fairly consistent live ratings, for affiliates that’s gold.

It was a lot worse in my area during ENT. Only rarely did TNG, DS9 and VOY get preempted in my area for sports broadcasts. The preemptions jumped exponentially after 2001.

I didn't even know this was compiled by a problem YouTuber until after I posted that. I don't have the energy to keep track of every YouTube idiot who thinks Trek has been ruined or tainted or sold to the Illuminati.

Trek YT is usually very toxic. I don't bother anymore.
