So, went on a tangent. Excelsior Concept !! Kind of going with the Eaglemoss concept art at the moment, but will do some different things. Done some measuring, Can be up to 910 Meters if it has a 2 deck high saucer! but I think I got a good compromise at 700 meters, with a saucer that is only 1 deck high. but the back "Shuttle bay" is 11 decks tall if i use that back of the eagle moss ship! Will have to redo that. So, more latter!

More on the Excelsior concept. got most things in, next is figure out window placement, and shield grid. For the shuttle bay, i split it into 2. Top is a VERY BIG 3 deck bay, with cargo area, think Tmp Enterprise shuttle deck, but bigger. 2nd shuttle bay is for the "Captains Gig" Large runabout sized ship in its own shuttle bay. Still working on this, so more latter!
Aridas had a huge concept called GOLIAN that I never saw the art too. This Excelsior is a true Space Control Ship.
So, More! Added some details on the top, made the saucer 2 decks high, and added the shield grid, so more overall. Work on the secondary hull next. Thoughts on this ship. It was made, and made after 2293, so maybe 2295, after the Klingon peace accord. So a new era of exploration. So after the Excelsior, this ship design was started in 2287, as the newest largest battle cruiser, 700 meters long. However after the Khitomer accords, the ship was gutted and refit with more labs, more luxurious quarters, more recreation areas. In 2295 set out on her first 5 year mission. With the 4 nacelles, it could cruise at warp 8 for extended periods of time, going farther than any exploratory ship has ever gone.
So, long time ish.. Working on a one for a friend, He scratch built a Tos Walker class for a contest, and wanted a more detailed version made from Scott W Bell's illustrations he made of his scratch build. So, for made it for printing. Have 2 different pods, one science, one tactical. So, images!
Moving on. Decided on the Sutherland Class from Picard/STO. Not going for printing (yet) but a nice pictures. Have some decent references, the ortho's dont match at all. so some of it is guess work. Have it all blocked out, some shield grid done. so work in progress found an Andromeda Class at Thingy verse, but ugh was it primitive, just a good reference for the saucer and warp nacelles since they are the same as the Sutherland. .
