The intermix chamber looks too much like a TARDIS control console for my liking:p

I still haven't seen the trailer itself for "Memento Mori" yet. The sneak-peek, yes...with a colony using 21C-issue big-cube liquid tanks and retail doorways...

Well spotted! I've listened again, and I'm pretty sure the name is Yelchin.

But it's pretty early registry-wise for a 'NCC-4774' Yelchin, so possibly an earlier ship still.

Well.. depending on your head canon.. NCC-4774 would be in line with the Baker Class ships from FASA. And Pike did mention in Discovery that StarFleet had 7k ships...

Also an interesting thing I noticed.. USS Antares. Apparently Pike served on this ship prior to the Enterprise.. and one of the Memorial Pins from the StarTrek:Mission Chicago pics. Makes you wonder what bad things happened to the Antares...

The NCC-4774-E was the USS Yelchin destroyed by the Burn in the 31st century.

Yeah But I assume that the Yelchin mentioned in the background radio chatter of SNW S01E01 was either the NCC-4774.. OR a prior USS Yelchin

Oh, no doubt. But if the registry of 4774* is known, then any question about it being the Elgin or the Yelchin should be cleared up.

If they're only on E by the 31st century, I'd lean towards the one in the 23rd century having no bloody A, B, C or D.

Maybe for a fan film. It did not look good for a modern Trek production. Look too much like a 60s set with modern displays.

And the point at the time for "In a Mirror, Darkly" was to do classic design with modern tech embedded.

Yeah, and they wasted an opportunity to update the design for 21st century Television.

Too many people with their heads stuck in the past on the show team.

They did embed modern tech. They upgraded graphics and even had computer graphics at consoles and views viewscreen. It looked great. They even changed the lighting and added a deeper color to the whole bridge. It looked really good.

Fans will never be convinced it wouldn't work. Singular data points are all that matters.
