Engineering design cues hark back a bit to NIF from Into Darkness…just a tad.

    NIF?

But the color scheme of this Enterprise feels more JJ than TOS, and I'm sure that's intentional too.

They're not as bad as the Enterprise, though.

Like a cross between the NIF and the TOS "conduit cathedral". I have to say I approve thoroughly.

Was there a publicity still released this past week with Pike and Spock in conference with a star map in the background?

What I've seen so far would fit a lot better in the JJ-verse than TOS; all it needs now is the lens flares.

That map makes it look like the array is spread out across multiple sectors.

Multiple installations with the same name maybe serve the same purpose.

Multiple telescopes spread across Federation space networked together, hence "array".

It's odd they moved the VOYesque door stripes up - now it looks like all turbolifts are stuck XD

I like that the shuttles have the swingable sphere displays from TOS

Just how big is that starbase Enterprise docked with at the end of the episode?
It has multiple adjacent sections of forests (which are massive on the inside from the looks of it).

Is it me, or does that StarBase feel larger than the Mushroom shaped SpaceDock we're used to seeing?
