We've watched the first 3 episodes and (as expected) it is Good. Lots of cool stuff re-imagining Martian culture.

There wasn’t a date announced. It was a surprise announcement at Fandome.

It's been REALLY good. 6 episodes have aired so far of the first batch of 13. There will be a second batch of 13 (just like season 3)- no date given on Wikipedia, but I assume sometime early next year as the last episode of this 13 is set to air 12/30/21. Artemis continues to be the best character in ANY comics-based show IMO.

I have to say Spiner’s second outing as The Joker is way better than last time, dropping the attempt at being subtle worked better.

It was so nice for Vandal Savage to finally get handed an out right loss without some bullshit that let him eek out a win for once.

Wasn't that great? I don't know if we needed Fate rubbing it in (OK, maybe we did), but I cackled when the LoO took the power back! :rommie:

Superman: We need to be carful who we let in the Justice League so as not to have a kill happy loon cause a public relations screw up.

Also Superman: We should consider Peacemaker.

I'm so glad this series is on HBO Max. I watched all of Season 3 (Outsiders) and am enjoying Phantoms. This show is so rich in DC lore. So far this season, we've seen the Lords of Order and Chaos, the Legion of Superheroes, New Gods, Martian society, and Atlantean politics.

How was it that Razer (from the GL animated series) could wield two rings, red and blue? I had never seen a Lantern do that, and as Kilowog joked, maybe try on a green ring and pretty soon he'd be a Rainbow Lantern.

    It's rare, but not unprecedented.

Don't forget, the Greatest Green Lantern has also wielded more then one ring at once

And all of it has been *good*! AFAIK, these have been new versions of Martian and Atlantean politics and I've been very impressed! It did my heart good to hear Kiliwog say "Poofter".

Plus, Artemis and M'gann have become my absolute favorite animated DC characters!

Sorry to break it to you, but it's "Poozer" not "Poofter". A Bolovaxian insult of unknown meaning.

Not much to say specifically about these episodes, but this show has quickly become my preferred definitive version of DC *anything* (and I'm a huge Timm/Diniverse fan from way back.)
They really know how to cherry pick all the best material, filter out the nonsense, add some new touches all their own and weave it all into a coherent and (relatively) believable world.

I mean their treatment of Cassandra Cain alone has won this show my undying respect and affection.
