Sir, the Ohio navy would like to have a word with you, but first I need help getting this dinghy off those cinder blocks.

Not me. After that disastrous finale, DeLancie was about the only thing that interested me about the second season.

You think you can defeat the southern Ontario coastline. Well, you can't. That'll teach you Buckeyes! :p

    Doesn't care.
Which is pretty much what I expected based upon the reaction for those who did not enjoy the season. So, deLancie was basically the production team promising this is real Trek.

Well, this fan enjoyed it for one season, but I'm happy that it's not continuing (even though it actually is in the Fascist timeline).

They obviously chose to include Q in the promotion from the outset. But yeah, if they had kept De Lancie a secret, I would've jumped out of my chair like one of those OTT YoutTube reactioners at "mon capitane".

If Synths have gotten their rights back, what does it mean for Holograms?

All those EMH Mark 1s toiling away in mining facilities need their rights.

Just watched the Ready Room interview with Sir Patrick.

Is it just me, or is Will's gushing just a tad ott? (Not just this time around, but generally.)

Funny, just the other day, discussing this episode, I said: "Maybe this time around, we'll find out where the name Ten Forward comes from!"

And according to SPS, we will.

I didn't think the name needed further explanation...it was on the forward edge of deck 10.

I always thought there might be more to it. Particularly now that Guinan made sure she got the address for her new bar...

Definitely. It's way over the top. I get that he is a huge fan and loves the TNG crew from his time on the show. But he over does it. He is like that "annoying fan" stereotype.

His "geek squeak" was definitely full volume in this one.

The foolish Canadians won't know what hit them when I row ashore somewhere along the Eastern seaboard because I got lost and slowly drifted out to sea.

It's not just you. His style feels very performative to me. And I do mean that in a pejorative way. :)

    Well, the show remains terrible.

Hilarious that there were actually TWO different scenes that provided explanations as to why "ageless" characters had obviously aged considerably since their last appearance. Maybe they could have punted Guinan an episode (since her cameo was clearly just crammed in there with no real relation to anything) just to spread those out a bit? Downright laughable.

Uh, yeah. It was never a mystery, there was never a hidden significance. It was literally its location in the ship. "Deck 10, forward."

Is Kurtzman & Co. gonna stupidly and needlessly retcon another piece of Trek history?

I like the Borg's new design even if I'm 100% sure the special effects people have been playing Destiny: The Taken King.

I mean, Will has been pretty clear that with his abusive family that Patrick Stewart is the man he considers his real dad so I'm willing to give him a pass on that.

    I'm not even exaggerating.

BTW, that Sovereign-class ship we saw as part of the fleet near the end of the episode...........was that the Enterprise-E perhaps, still in service after all of these years? And could one of the TNG crew members like Admiral Worf or Admiral Geordi be her captain by any chance?
