Little early for the full thread, but I spotted this via Twitter: https://trekmovie.com/2022/01/07/star-trek-picard-returns-to-production-following-covid-pause/ Round saucer + phaser strips + blue LCARS? Quite a mix. Dare I suggest a refitted pre-TNG ship, with post-Nemesis LCARS..? I think this is also the same LCARS as that transporter console seen previously? Mark
Huh. Looking closer, I spy what look like TMP era phaser ball turrets, inboard of the supposed phaser strips. Oddly there is no forward phaser strip either, which isn’t a showstopper by any means but is still a strange omission if true. Neat! Mark
You sure it's round? It looks more ovoid in that screenshot to me, very similar to the Sovereign-class.
There is an Ambassador phaser strip on the port side. The globes aren’t meant to be phaser banks…I don’t think. Oh, the gold squares with two each….a mix. A recessed area for ten-forward?
Still a little early for a full thread, but the new trailer shows that the Nova and Steamrunner classes are still enjoying some limelight in 2399! Mark
Or at least in the evil alternate universe of 2399. Actually, wouldn't it be 2400 by now? I always knew the Steamrunner was evil.
The Eeeeeevil Enterprise-D .. Enhanced! https://twitter.com/AventineIss/status/1485661736032112640?t=ZdHmdcKfX0uujb_aI5YAcg&s=19 Designed in part by “Mr. Titan” himself, Sean Tourangeau! Mark
Nice drawing, but that's just a fan-made speculation, not actually done by Tourangeau. I have to say, though, that I really dig Terry Matalas's tweets about S3. I'm liking that guy more and more.
The TNG D-Pad arrow thingy is gone! They were practically on every console regardless of function! Mark
That one director working on Picard just can’t stop tweeting juicy pictures for us tech heads. Lookit this revelation of two new ship names and registrations. Both carry some pretty heavy meaning to fans… https://twitter.com/TerryMatalas/st...rumbull-picard-will-name-a-ship-in-his-honor/
Heh, I stand corrected. But geez does he like whatever bridge set he seems to be spending a lot of time on…
As I mentioned in another thread, based on its registry number, it could be either a Bradbury class or Nova class starship. But it could just as easily be something else. My inner nerd wants to see them actually make a new design for the conjectural Bradbury class starship, but I'm pretty sure I'm asking for too much.
Absolutely. Wouldn't you all be ecstatic be on a ship's bridge regularly? No? Just me. I can live with that.
