Pretty obvious that Red was going to become the new Skinner.

Agreed. While that was no surprise, what gets me is the fact that thus far, they have neglected to touch upon the issue of Redarina's illness. Quite frankly, the old boy seems pretty hale and I can't help but wonder if the voodoo chick cured him of ... Whatever.

Now I'll be fair here, we're only two episodes in, but I can't help but wonder if the subject of Redarina's identity will become a forgotten topic, now that Keen is dead. It served a purpose while she was still around, but since TPTB have made it pretty clear to the viewing audience who Reddington is (or was) I wonder if it serves the narrative to touch upon it again. The whole group just seems to accept him for who he is, even though they all know that he's an imposter.

OTOH, perhaps I'm expecting too much here. This is, after all, The Blacklist. Logic has never really been its strong suit.

Pretty good odds that Park’s husband is up to no good, maybe even a Blacklister.

OK, it now seems that the issue of who Red is (or was) isn't a dead issue. The whole thing with the letter given in trust to Dembe is going to open a fresh can of Whoop-Ass between those two, on top of whatever else may have gone down between that. That, coupled with what's going on with Cooper is making this season much more interesting for me.

And just who is that modulated voice who called Cooper? Call me crazy, but I have the weird feeling that it's Panabaker. Anyone else care to put forth a guess?

It's either Panabaker or his "friend", the cop who's been helping him. - Maybe working for Panabaker

If that's the case, then Harold's friend has someone helping him, as the video (and audio) has him in it. But the whole thing could be a set-up by people who Cooper thought he could trust.

It could have been a camera his friend mounted "in the right place", that he (the friend) happens to drive up to for Harold to meet him at.

This could go either way: Professional side, it's Panabaker behind it, promising the friend something in return, or Personal, the friend was also banging Harold's wife.

Or a third angle we haven't even thought of yet. To be honest, I like the way this season is spinning out a few new twists and turns. Almost makes me think that it may not be the final season after all.

The biggest twist of them all, Harold has a split personality, and one of those personalities is on the blacklist!!!!

I've often said that Spader is the main reason I've continued watching this show; in particular, Red's little anecdotal stories about incidents in his past and the way he relates them are oftentimes, the best part of watching The Blacklist. And my all time favorite of those is:

Every time I watch this, I can't help but wonder if Red's dialogue was part of the original script, or if the director of that episode just told Spader to make up something and run with it.

Is it just me or does the entire cast seem bored as hell? Also the Blacklisters this season aren’t very interesting. The show should’ve ended when Megan Boone left. There doesn’t seem to be any story left.l to tell.

I'll agree with you that the Blackllisters themselves are a bit on the bland side - thus far. Part of me wonders if the purpose of these first 9 episodes was to move all the pieces on the board into a position where the action is about to really begin. The conflict between Red and Dembe has led us to Red's conclusion about a common enemy - and I'm beginning to think that same enemy is the one who's trying to take down Cooper.

Do you think the last scene of this show will be a woman turning herself in to the FBI and claiming to be Elizabeth?

It wouldn't shock me either, but somehow, I just don't see it happening.

They tried The Blacklist with Jennifer Carpenter and it didn't work. Now comes The Blacklist with Morena Baccarin.

Anyone watch the pilot for The Endgame? It's a bit tighter and focused than The Blacklist. Of course, it's only one episode. If NBC wants it to last 10 seasons, that gives it plenty of time to spin wheels, kick cans and introduce boring and pointless red herrings. Unlike The Blacklist, they actually hired someone who can act opposite the star.

Renewed for season 10. They're really gonna drag this show out until the bitter end. Red will be 90-years-old and on his death bed he'll admit to who he is... only to forget because of his advanced age. Dembe will be an astronaut or neurosurgeon (or both) at that point.
