Loving all this T'Rina!

 

Me too! I especially love seeing the episode preview’s blink-and-miss-it moment of Saru and T’Rina kneeling and facing each other, holding hands. The tension between the two last season was palpable, and I’m very pleased to see they’ll be interacting more this season.

 

With the Romlulans there, T'Rina doesn't have the benefit of all her people being serene, logical types. She must find Saru a quiet, calming presence.

 

No joke, when my roommates and I were rewatching the third season in anticipation for the fourth, all three of us blurted out "now kiss!" just as T'Rina was about to teleport away from Saru.

 

When my oldest brother was first caught up with Discovery Season 3 ‪‪we talked about the season, when we got to Ni’Var ‪‪I asked “did you get a vibe from T’Rina and Saru?” But before ‪‪I could finish saying “Saru” he blurted “yes!”

 

The only time I've felt more heat between characters was in the second season after Culber and Ash got in that fistfight and were all hanging on each other.

 

"heat" between the two calmest and coolest characters is really down to good acting.

We've obv seen enough of Doug Jones to know how good he is. Has anyone seen Tara Rosling in other places?

Lovely episode, but I kinda wish I was wrong about where Tilly was headed. I can't tell if Wiseman is exiting main cast status here and that is pretty anxiety-inducing.

 

I even thought Burnham is gonna leave to be on that committee XD

2nd week in a row without an appearance of the 5 bridge crew? Feels weird…

 

That took a turn I wasn't expecting. So I guess Tilly will be star in the Starfleet Academy Series. I wish she was still around on DSC, but she'll probably make guest appearances. Now it makes sense why they were starting to write Adira more like Tilly. The writers were setting them up to take over her role on the show.

 

One of my highlights of the episode

 

Yep, this was probably the backdoor pilot a few of us were suspecting. I wonder if any of those cadets' actors this episode are being considered.

 

Don't Forget they are Guest stars not Main cast members even though they hold the spots but I'm sure they'll be back.

 

‪‪I enjoyed all three, and wouldn’t mind seeing Gorev, Sasha and Harral return in a recurring or ongoing capacity.
