So I had a funny moment with Gracie yesterday, I was watching the first Matrix movie as prep for Resurrections, and she was over on the other couch, after a while I had to pause it because my mom came in to show me something. After she showed me, she told Gracie had been watching the movie, and now she was glaring at me. So I started the movie back up and she started watching again, and as soon as I paused it a second time, she glared back over at me again. So apparently, she was also watching the movie, and didn't like me stopping it. This is another example of why I joke that she is either a woman that was cursed into dog, or a shapeshifter. There are a lot of very human things like that that she does, that almost scare me a little bit at times. I might have mentioned before, but when we first got her, if we tossed a ball or treat or something to her, she would try and catch it with her front paws, like she had forgotten she was a dog now, and didn't have hands. She was found as an unspayed stray wandering around loose without any tags or anything, so her history before got picked up is a complete mystery.
After the vet, they sedated Fred. His penis wouldn’t go back in the sheath, they said it was stress related. They gave me some lubricant if it happens again. Weird. So weird. but I’m glad he’s okay. I have Flyers tickets for tonight but I’m gonna stay with Fred. I’m worried about him.
Had another almost human moment with Gracie on our afternoon walk. We went to a different part of one of the parks where we walk, and when we got to a crosswalked I asked if we were going to cross there, and my mom said yes. The scary thing is, Gracie was already past the crosswalk when I asked, but as soon as my mom said yes, she turned, walked to the edge of the sidewalk, and sat to wait to cross, with absolutely no prompting from me.
Oh, Tribble - your poor Fred ! I'm so sorry ! All the hugs and scritches and love for him - please keep us updated on how he's doing, and I'll keep both of you in my prayers, if that's okay
