Other than Lincoln, which US President would you like to see in "The Savage Curtain"? George Washington? John Kennedy? Millard Fillmore?

An interesting question. Given that Lincoln was taken from Kirk's mind, the question is, aside from Lincoln, which US President would Kirk most likely have admired? A statesman, a man of action, both. I'd say Teddy Roosevelt would be a good guess.

I'd go with JFK as well.

Not only is he the sort of president Kirk would look up to...he actually once PLAYED Kirk (in a David Gerrold story).

I'd like mind-reading aliens to create an admired figure based on a mistaken memory about ancient history, and have it be President Benjamin Franklin, or President Morgan Freeman

Or kind of like they did with Minuet.

    I vote for President Skroob!

It's well known that Kirk was a Mel Brooks fan...

Beyound the shadow of a doubt, Kirk's hero president would be Donald J. Trump of course.

How could it possibly be any one else?

Trump, but he'd be filling in for colonel Green...

His (edit: Kirk’s, that is) fellow philosopher king, Josiah Bartlett.

Or Teddy Roosevelt if we’re sticking to real-world ones.

I'd go with Obama. He's young and seems to be in good shape.

No wonder, then, so many people think Kirk/Shatner is an ass.

I included Fillmore in my original post primarily for comic effect, but he is pretty obscure. I had to look on Wikipedia to find out his party affiliation (Whig).

    Harrison.

He takes Kirk on a raid, and they steal all the bad guy's winter coats.

Calvin Coolidge. Because then he'd actually get to speak lines.

I nominate President William Henry Harrison, he should be regarded as one of the greatest Presidents ever. That is, his Presidency was so short, the shortest in
history, he had the least amount of time to screw things up before he bit the dust.
