Thanks, @Donny, I appreciate the explanation. Being someone who admires the work but doesn't really know how you do it (it's maaaaaagic), I'm not always aware of the program limitations and other factors involved. :techman:

Here are the finished renders of the Enterprise-A bridge as seen in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.

I spent the weekend creating a video of the bridge, much in the style of my Enterprise-E video, but I hit a snag I haven't quite figured out yet. For some reason, when I go to render, the animated video files I've made for the CRT monitors don't render properly. I tried to solve the issues for hours last night but was unable to remedy it. It was odd that they rendered fine for the previous video, but it may have something to do with the fact that this project was made on a slightly newer version of Unreal, and it may be a bug that flew under the radar. Anyway, if I ever figure out what's going on and am able to fix the issue, I'll release the video. For now, renders will have to suffice.

@Donny - do you think it is a memory thing with UE4? The static renders do look wonderful :techman:

Man, I feel like I could just walk into one of those pictures and spend a day on that bridge.

That’s what I’m betting. It’s just odd that the E video rendered properly without any issues.

I need a new thesaurus; I've run out of superlatives to describe Donny's work. :p

These renders make me appreciate the STV and STVI bridges more than I had previously.

Still not sure about having lights on those divider/arch things, though. It'd be like having a lamp right in your face every time you walked by them (but that's just me).

    Astonishing.

Since it is CGI…I could see an anomaly creating distortions as it passes through.

I clicked “Like” for your gorgeous artwork but not your choice of image host, @Donny. Flickr may work correctly on a computer, but on my iPhone XR none of your images will display fullscreen or allow zooming in on the details. Aggravating!

I’ve used Flickr for years and doubt I’ll switch anytime soon unless I have a good reason to. Maybe try downloading the Flickr app for your iPhone and create a free account? It will open the app when clicking on the images above and allow zooming in.

It makes me wonder how the Final Frontier bride would be affected/improved if the padding on the chairs and console edges was blue, rather than beige and grey

I don't know if it would work too well with the rest of the FF Enterprise-A bridge palette.

Depends which shade of blue. A muted shade of light blue would work better than the bold, deep blue of the Excelsior bridge.

That being said, I also think the TFF bridge is fine the way it is, once you learn to see beyond the light grey walls and see that the the bridge is actually colorful in just the right amount.

Probably not standard issue equipment, but does it include Sulu's tea table?
