Thanks for the birthday wishes! Finally got a plumber to fix our crappy shower! He arrives tomorrow. One step closer to being able to put this POS house up for sale.
Went to my 50th high school reunion. My sister was my plus one. Lots of good food and activities. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Crazy long drive, though, which is why I never went to any of the previous ones. I can't believe I still remember the words to our fight song.
I never went to any of my reunions, no one has really changed and the jerks were still obnoxious jerks from people that did attend. The last one ended in a fight. I'll add to that one guy received a broken nose and two girls also got into it with each other.
Eating Fusilli today for lunch, or spiral pasta as I call it, but I can pretend its space grubs on a faraway mining station. EDIT: Isn't this what they used as a prop in the TNG episode Conspiracy?
^ IIRC, the actors actually ate chow mein noodles. Real worms were used for close-ups, though. I go to any of my high school reunions that happen to occur, but I never stay long. My friends have all moved away, and I rarely know any of the people who do turn up. I only go in the first place in a feeble attempt to recreate the glory of my high school career....hell, to be alive AT ALL in the 1980's was itself a beautiful thing, and to be in high school in the 80's was extra special. Plus, I was a band geek, and I'm always up for revisiting that.
I'm glad someone had a good time in high school. I graduated in 1984 and if I'd been in any longer, I'd probably have killed myself. It's why I completely got the "high school on the Hellmouth" concept of BtVS.
I don't know why, but the concept of a toilet and a washer and dryer being next to each other weirds me out. Never seen it in person though, but I've seen pictures when looking at homes.
I’d just wonder about the inconvenience of coordinating clothes washing with people’s bathroom breaks.
^ Come to my store on a Wednesday. You'll quickly lose any belief that people could ever get kinder with age.
