I feel that the chance of more Seekers right now is, if not zero, then close to zero within five significant digits due to S&S having other priorities, like supporting the new television series (plural), but one can live in hope.
@JWolf hey friend. I did. But the point of my post was to let everyone know, that the discounted ebook prices had gone LIVE on Amazon, so people could go and purchase the ebooks at the time. So it wasn’t repeating your post. Others do that all the time on here. Also I like reminding people with the actual end date,#9 when the deals end in case they don’t purchase them right away.. It’s just meant to be heads up or FYI for everyone on the forums. @Corran Horn and @Allyn Gibson I really regret writing that post.WEEKS ago guys. As I told Allyn and i think Corran missed it, was that I was repeating what others kept saying about the Captain Proton that they wouldn’t purchase the ebook at $.99 cents. As I said before, some times I think it’s great that certain ebook deals get repeated at certain times so others have a chance to purchase an ebook at a certain price. Pocket has been very generous with Trek, with being diverse with their deals, unlike Random House and Star Wars, certain ebooks get constantly dropped tp $4.99 repetitively, while others, never get discounted or the chance to be discounted. As I said before these Trek ebook deals have been going on since March 2016, so I think every month we get these great chances to get some ebooks on sale is only an awesome thing. I have a disability, and gave up paper books in 2009 permanently, don’t regret it and never looked back, so congratulations to both of you making the switch. @Corran Horn there are other ebooks at $5.99 in each Trek series at different times, yeah it’s not $3.99 but still. There are quite a few $5.99 though. Just to be warned, going digital, you may not get a chance for EVERY book to be digital, Trek is better than others making reference and coffee table books than other series, but not by much. You’ll have to beg like a S.O.B. to get a digital version. I hope eventually this changes. I guess I owe you guys an apology for that post, because I feel like I took a football team $H-T in someone’s cereal bowl to get singled out for that dumb post. If so hey I’m sorry. All the best guys, cheers. -Koric
I don't think anyone's upset with you, @Koric. You're really valued here. Keep doing what you do. (And @JWolf, I appreciate the cover posts you've made for the past few months.)
This was a really good month. I already had Federation and Articles of the Federation, which are both excellent. I picked up To Lose the Earth and the Rise of the Federation books. I own Eyes of the Beholders, but it is still unread until I reach that part of the timeline again.
Just to add that the first of the STS9 YA books, The Star Ghost, is 99p on UK Amazon - not sure if this is duplicated on the US platform. Seems to be the only one of them available on Kindle too. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Star-Ghost-Trek-Deep-Space-ebook/dp/B00E2RG42K/ Frustratingly, Eyes of the Beholder doesn't seem to be available on UK Amazon, the only one of this month's offers I truly wanted.
Star Ghost is permanently 99p it seems. As to your other point it really annoys me that we don't get the earlier ST books as kindle versions here in the UK. The TOS pocket books are almost never available on Amazon UK.
There are ways around that issue. Just use Kobo.com to buy these missing eBooks. You just have to switch your location to the US.
Apologies if this was mentioned by The Wounded Sky (TOS #13) is $2.54: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FC0X0U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_d_asin_title_o00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's also $2.54 at eBooks.com in the US and in the UK it's £3.32. Tthis is for the ePub version. In the UK, Star Trek eBooks are cheaper at eBooks.com then Amazon.
September e-book deals are on the Simon & Schuster site: https://www.simonandschuster.com/c/ebookpromoSeptember2021
TNG : Q & A Star Trek (2009) : More Beautiful Than Death TOS : Memory Prime DS9 : Trials and Tribble-ations PIC : The Dark Veil DIS : The Enterprise War TNG : The Captains' Honor ENT : The Expanse All four books in the Day of Honor series For those who care: The Day of Honor series was on sale in July of 2018 in the omnibus edition. Discovery's The Enterprise War was part of the January 2020 sale.
Stoked for September's lineup. The Dark Veil is the obvious highlight, but TNG relaunch titles don't often go on sale, and I've wanted Q&A for some time. And I'm happy any time we get access to discounted "numbered novels"; if memory serves, The Captain's Honor is actually pretty solid.
Will be getting most of these. Great month! Hoping the Titan series will be included in the sales soon…
