SPOCK: Negative, Captain. Transporter room is clear. However, there is a life-form materialising on the planet. It is Lokai. He is back on Cheron.

    The End.

Couldn't have happened to a more deserving planet....

Well, I gotta compliment the writers on one thing:
They certainly created a dreadful pair of villains to hiss.

Probably 2 of the most dreadful 1 dimensional card board standees you'll ever encounter.
I guess the one thing that kind of surprised me was that they made them both equally loathsome.
I mean, it's easy to detest Bele. He's the racist in power. But, Lokai was no slouch either in his underdog loathsome racism.

While, at a basic level, I'm drawn to root for the underdog, Lokai was such a duplicitous, manipulative racist, so you can't. Lokai is a master of "Let's You and Him Fight!" At least Bele was telling the truth on that score. Lokai reminds me of Che Guevara: Happily leading his followers to their deaths without a care for them. Just useful idiots to be used and murdered later. If Bele hadn't let it slip that Lokai's people really were herded into camps, one would wonder if they were oppressed at all. As much as Lokai was propagandizing, they might've been given the wrong flavor ice cream.

As bad as the episode was, I do have to hand them that.

But, one thing I just can't buy is that this has been going on for literally thousands of years? Really? And the Enterprise comes along, within a few weeks at the most of the final extermination? Any longer than that, and the bodies would have decomposed. (Roadkill doesn't last that long.)

For the record, a single episode or any episode or episodes connected by the words "To Be Continued" are eligible. Big arcs like the DS9 Occupation arc or the Xindi arc must be done as separate threads.

In accordance with precedent, if after 48 hours the winner has not selected a new episode, we will re randomize and select a new winner.
