yes, Prodigy in October and Discovery in December is what I have been expecting. Last year they did 23 straight weeks of new episodes. Now they could do 43 weeks, if Picard premieres right after Discovery.

And then Strange New Worlds after Picard.

And then Lower Decks Season 3 most likely would be ready immediately after that.

And then - if Picard is really being filmed back-to-back for Seasons 2-3, Season 3 would be ready to roll.

We could get a year plus of time where something Trek-related is always on.

It's premiering on Paramount+ now, but that seems to have been a COVID-related decision and was not the original plan, so who knows how this affects overlap and the "XX Weeks of Star Trek" schema.

Does the name Rok-Tahk mean "Rock talks"? As others, I was surprised that this is a girl. She would be great addition for KrangĀ“s army...

Anyway, I like this presentation of the characters. Somehow I feel the universe might be painted in very interesting colors as well!

To be fair no one knows how much of a master strategist he was on Earth as remember all The augments were defeated and Khan himself fled into deep space. As for Khan being arrogant; that seemed to be the main failing and downfall of the 20th century augments in general.

I think a big question is whether this Star Trek series would have the same level of violence as the Clone Wars and other recent Star Wars cartoons, I recently saw a Bad Batch episode that had a very pointed-on-screen death. Star Trek doesn't have the same amount robots that Star Wars, so there is less disposable cannon fodder, but the heroes usually have phasers with stun settings, and killing is considered a last resort for Star Fleet officers, the heroes can just stun their opponents, while the villains tend to use disrupters, which only had kill settings. However, I think Star Trek villains can be just as ruthless as Star Wars villains, but perhaps Nick and Paramount Plus wouldn't want to make this

Well Nick used to show Avatar and that was mildly violent, similar to most of the episodes of TOS and TNG so maybe.

Prodigy is aimed younger than Clone Wars/The Bad Batch -- more along the lines of Resistance or Forces of Destiny. If you're familiar with Guillermo del Toro's Trollhunters/Tales of Arcadia franchise on Netflix, it's probably at about that age level, since it has some of the same creators.

Besides, Star Wars is a series about war. Naturally it's got violence in it. There's no reason to expect a series about a bunch of kids exploring in a starship to be comparable in tone to a series about soldiers fighting a war.

Fair enough, if there are villains in this show, they could still be ruthless, in Avatar the Last Airbender, Nickelodeon's other major action cartoon, the main villain, the Fire Lord burned his son's face and attempted to commit genocide. If you have that level stakes, that could work.

Thanks for the head's up. I hadn't been keeping up with what virtual Comic-Con was doing this year so it caught me completely off guard.

Now I have to figure out all of the panels I want to watch. Hopefully it'll be as good as last year.

Star Trek doesn't need ruthless, cruel, genocidal villains.

Having done a scan through the whole schedule, I didn't see anything. There is a panel on Star Trek in general with a bunch of people from various shows, but nothing specific for Discovery, Picard, or Strange New Worlds. Unless I missed it somehow.
