I LOVE the mid-60s MARVEL "Journey Into Mystery" cover style. Very appropriate for this.

Cool: I'll get my new comics and my MCU fix on the same day.

    It is a great song.

I looked it up on wiki and was surprised to see it was used as the theme song for 1984 series Cover Up. Talk about timely!

I wonder if the Avengers ever wondered what happened to that Loki. Do they just assume he’s in a alternate time?

What i wonder since the pilot episode is how the Avengers supermessing with the timeline in Endgame is ok for the Timekeepers ( "It was supposed to happen") but Loki escaping suddenly was not - based on what grounds did they decide that? On present Variant Energy or what it was called?

Where does this energy come from? I hope this gets explained further because i still believe the Timekeepers to be the real villains here.

I missed the first 40 pages of this thread, but someone must have remembered that Ravonna is Kang's girlfriend, right?

We saw the TVA scrub that timeline as soon as they picked him up. They don't wonder anything.

You mean the variant Avengers that don't exist because that branch was clipped? Sure...they're all chatting about it at that shawarma joint with Gwenpool.

The branch was clipped; ergo they don't exist. Do I need to draw a diagram?

Why? That's not what this show is about and like it's been said, it was clipped, they don't exist, everyone in the universe and out has moved on.

In the movie the rules were you cannot travel to your own past.

The moment you arrive, you're already in a divergent timeline, because you were never there in the prime timeline, so you always had to have arrived somewhere else, that looks exactly the same, except there is a time traveler present to knock everything off kilter, who is you.

"You can't change the future by changing the past".

The TVA can travel to their own past, and they can intentionally land on divergent timelines.

The weird thing is that Steve cannot have returned the stones to the Ancient One and every one else, because every time he tried to go somewhere he;s already been, he should be creating a new alt timeline.

    Also...

Steve cannot have returned the infinity stones to divergent timelines that had been pruned by the TVA because they were not there anymore. But the TVA knew his mission, and they pruned after he left. So that tracks.

You are mixing up 2 sets of Avengers here. "Our" Endgame Avengers saw him escape, but of course that wasn't their past, so it doesn't matter to them if Loki escaped because as far as they know he's still in that universe with the Tesseract, thus it's not missing from the Universe and Steve doesn't have to worry about it. That universe was then pruned by the TVA after Cap popped back in a few moments later to return the Time and Mind Stones. But Our Avengers definitely remember seeing Loki disappear.

Nope. In fact Loki brought that aspect up when talking to Mobius. Mobius' reply was that what the Avengers did was part of the sacred timeline and was supposed to happen; ergo, the timekeepers themselves used their powers/technology to allow Steve Rogers to travel to his past and continue to exist and age in said sacred timeline.

If the timekeepers can create a reality pocket where infinity stones have absolutely no power; and completely prune divergent timelines, It follows they have abilities that would allow them to mold their sacred timeline in whatever way they see fit.
