Looks like more of the same. "Hey remember Q!?" I'm sure they'll be lots of references to things you remember from the previous shows/movies. That's about all Star Trek has going for it these days.
No it doesn't? There's nothing in this trailer looks anything like Season 1 except the characters. Season 1 didn't have time travel or alternate realities. Or Q.

I wonder if this timeline sees a militarised Federation and Starfleet, as a counter to Picard complaining that Starfleet has lost it's way. It could be as a demonstration by Q, or a situation that emerges because of an action taken in the past, that Q allows the new crew to put right. As for Seven of Nine, I wonder if there may be some conflict where she doesn't want to go back to the proper timeline and go back to being an ExB
