I played Resident Evil Village for about an hour last night. It looks absolutely stunning on PS5 and the lighting effects are amazing. The village is creepy as fuck so far and I've already encountered three jump scares that may or may not have made me almost launch out of my recliner

Finally hitting Ghost of Tsushima (playing on PS5). First time playing. Having come off AC Valhalla, I thought I might have been spoiled for GoT graphic-wise. Not so. This looks absolutely gorgeous. If I'm going to compare the two titles, GoT has a more vivid palette. The whole word is so dynamic. And, it feels more polished, to be honest. Love the minimalist HUD.

I'm just having fun walking around doing nothing but looking and exploring - in no rush to finish it.

It took me a bit to get used to the waypoint system, but I ended up feeling it was a brilliant choice, to not only not clutter the screen, but to tie it into the lore as well, which made it for more of an immersive experience.

I've never even tried for 100% on any of the AC games. I usually do all of the main and side missions, and most of the other activities, but I don't go for all of the collectables. There's just way to much to get, spread over way to big of an area for me to want to go after everything.
I discovered awhile back that the Windows store has a lot of the X-Box games availble for my laptop, so once I'm thinking about getting the Halo Masterchief collection once I'm ready to buy my next game. I had original X-Box and played the first two games, but since I decided to stick with just the Playstation systems after that, I haven't played any of the other games. I'm thinking about checking out the Gears of War games, and Sunset Overdrive. A lot of people seem to really like the Gears games, and I'm a huge Insomniac Games fan, and it drove me crazy when Sunset Overdrive came out as an X-Box exclusive and I couldn't play it.

Now a Lego Mass Effect, that'd be something.

I recently started Gems of War at the beginning of the month and have generally enjoyed it so far. Anyone else play it? It's a hybrid gem puzzle/RPG engine.

I'm about 11 hours into Resident Evil Village. I'm genuinely a hard person to creep out or even scare. That been said, some parts of Village have creeped the literal FUCK out of me. Some of the characters and descriptions of items are kind of funny, but there's just an over all creepy tension surrounding the whole game.

I also downloaded Cuphead. They weren't kidding when reviewers said this game was hard as shit

GTA 3:San Andreas on Xbox. I'd forgotten how vast this was for such an old game. Crossing fingers that Vice City appears, as is rumoured, for the 20th Anniversary...

Elite Dangerous: Odyssey. It can definitely go on the list of undercooked game releases for 2021, but I've still been largely enjoying it.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker with smatterings of the BG3 EA and Solasta, which just released last week. All CRPG's.

Also running a tabletop 5E DND campaign in Greyhawk for my son, nephews, and sister. I guess you could say I'm on a big DND kick right now.

    Me too.
It looks like I might end up finishing Shadow of Mordor with almost 100%. I hadn't realized I was that close to getting everything until I checked my progress the other day, and saw that I have almost all of the quests or missions or whatever they call them in this one and collectibles. The only things I haven't gotten very far on are the hunting and survival challenges, but I'm not sure if I'm going to go for them.
    Is Cuphead really that hard?
