Rock bands and boy bands on ENT – a terrible idea, or just a flawed one?

I just got an image in my brain about the crew holding a memorial for Trip in These Are The Voyages with a photograph of Trip doing something dumb is displayed while Nickelback's "Photograph" plays

 

Unfortunately, what might sound like a fun idea, the lawyers will often spoil the fun. When the lawyers weigh in, things usually end on a sour note.

Yes it was played for laughs, but there's literally no way to know what's going to come back into style or be popular in 200 years. Nobody would have guessed in Mozart's day we'd still be listening to his stuff now.

 

There's a prescient episode of Doctor Who broadcast in 1965 in which The Beatles are referred to as Classical Music. I suppose before I shuffle off this mortal coil they will be.
