    LOL
BTW: the main hull has an auxiliary warp assembly that is integrated into it like the B'rel Bird of Prey. It is obstructed by the smaller craft. This ship is a battlecruiser though...it was just designed by an entirely different shipwright. This ship is also a lot larger than the D7 at 348 metres long, and much more complex and expensive to build. I imagine them as very rare and used in areas where there is too much unrest.

Nice and asymetrical..:mallory: or if there's a mirror counterpart they could form a 4 engined fast attack cruiser..

You know, when I started this ship, I thought about doing just that, but then I realized that an asymmetrical design would be more fun...and I needed to give the FASA D11 One-wing a friend :)

I could see this ship and a mirrored version linking up, and then accomplishing nothing because the captains are arguing about which one's actually in charge.

I see the joined pair doing a run...separating with energy crackling between them to scoop/sweep up Tholian ships...turning the tables on them

    Now, there's an intriguing idea!
(I hope you don't mind me saying, but it reminds me of a somewhat steampunk witch's broom - which I love, btw)

I wonder how they manage the warp field with the very asymmetrical design on that previous one?

Thanks! Well a few things I've learned about "warp" is Trek is that it is damn easy to achieve and It does not dictate the shape of the vessel that is doing it. And it can be achieved in many ways by many different races. It is not like Air, or Water, whereas the form dictates it's function... As any shaped vessel can equally achieve it: Form long necked winged ships, to Cubes, to asymmetrical boomerang ships, to ringed ships. So I would imagine that that ship can do it just fine. ;) Just saying.

    Hmmmmm

Now here is a quick physical model mock-up of that Klingon Space-Folding ship I did today:

And if you are really curious, there are some more pics of this mockup in my DA gallery if you'd like to see more...

Thanks. Not as amazing as someone like our boy @Forbin can do, but as a mock-up...I can live with it

I love the parts to it. I had this old 1977 Scholastic FunFact Book of UFOS that had saucers in a forward pod of a similar looking nuclear ship.

Now, the Debt of Honor graphic novel had the idea of a Klingon planet killer…and I think you nailed it. It was only a boom and debris…but I see this as my head canon

That's really cool about the flying saucers! I'd love to see that. And thanks for feeling this would work for your head-canon!
