No. The one they sold was like ¾ scale. Later ones (Diamond Select) were full size and much bigger...

They should have sold both sizes. I still miss the old Exploration kit. Break that and it wasn’t as much a loss. My friend found and old Mattel lie detector in the woods.

I like how TOS Phasers looked like you know.... weapons. The TNG phasers look really stupid. The type 1 is the worst design. SF Debris said the type one looks like a razor and yeah it really does

I think I understand the philosophy behind the TNG phasers. I think they weren't supposed to look too much like weapons, or at least look not all that threatening to anyone who didn't know what they were. That might be helpful in first contact scenarios perhaps.

I understand it too, real reason Gene, because Gene for all of his good points loved to put his vison of the future over things like aesthetics or plot or practical use of weapons. I mean how do you even aim the type 1?

I always figured that hand phasers had some sort of internal aiming system within their emitter. Locks onto whatever is directly in its field of fire to a certain range maybe. But as with ship-mounted phasers and their targeting systems, it's still possible to miss at times, IMO.

As often as Tech in this world fails they always should have some kind of manual system back up

Has anyone seen the new TNG reaction figures. I loked at them to see if i wanted to buy one and they looked... not very good. I mean the Generations figures looked better then the do, heck the Galoob ones look better then they do

I mean, they are a riff on old school, 80s era, figures, with different sculpts and limited articulation. Think Kenner style Star Wars figures and you would be on point. Hasbro and Star Wars have made a big line out of it too, as well as several other properties who hadn't really had action figures before.

I think its a feature not a bug.
The one item I never got. Still have tricorders and communicator though.

That's the thing i dont like Kenner's star wars figures, I didn't grow up with them and i have no nostalgia for them so to me they are just kind of bleh. Also the price is just too high for figures that are that plain looking and lack alot. Also a lot of people compare them to galoobs TNG figs which go for alot second hand because they weren't made for very long

Yes, the retro thing doesn't appeal to me because I was a nineties kid, so have no nostalgia for the clearly inferior 70s/80s style figures.

Now if they produced retro Playmates style 4.5" figures I'd be all over them!

Really? I haven't had much issue finding them for around 10 or so.

Don't forget the enourmous light up TNG comm badge. That thing weighed the front of my shirt down:lol:
