While there are similarities between the Mars shuttle and the ST’09 shuttle, they are in fact two separate designs.

I wonder if will ever get the drone attackers that we saw in BOBW that were made from Typhoon-class submarines with warp engines glued on.

Doubtful. We’ve never even seen photos of it, so unless EM just uses screencaps from TNG to reconstruct it (the best of which was when the model was used as the Soliton Wave Rider), I don’t think we’ll get one.

It's not a rework of the Argo, It also wasn't in ST09, but it did come from an unused concept for ST09, which he later reworked into a shuttle for the Enterprise-E in a couple SOTL calendar images.

Compared to the Argo, there isn't much of a resemblance other than being shuttle shaped and having fins.

    There are some structural similarities.

Has anyone had success in fixing warped parts? I got a K'tinga model recently and the bow is warped it ruins what is otherwise a superb model. Should I try a heat gun or submerging it in warm water (what temp?) to soften the plastic up?

Warm water should work. In more extreme cases with thicker plastic (like on the XL’s), you may need to use a heat gun. But be real careful with that. You could damage the plastic irreparably.

When the first pics of the Wallenberg transports over Mars were shown, I could have sworn they were reusing the ST’09 shuttles because they were very small in the background and looked quite similar from a distance. But up close you could see that they were not the same. And they do resemble the Argo, or at least are a logical progression thereof.

With Ben and his team figuring out how to realize the forested interior of the Angelou-class USS Maathai, I wonder if that would make the production of the Zephyr and the Cloud 9 from BSG possible?

Simplest solution would seem to use clear plastic, and glue wallpaper on the inside to simulate an interior.

Here are some preview pages for the Delta quadrant Shipyards books, inluding the tables of contents. The first ship I looked for is the Species 8472 energy focusing ship that appeared on the early STOSC promotional poster but was never released as a model... but it doesn't seem to be included in the book either

Gosh, we never gonna learn anything about it anywhere beyond ST: Armada II, darn it.

Any idea which is the Unidentified Species Ship? (EDIT: been clarified that it’s the Omega rescue vessel).

Also, no love for the Kazon Torpedo. :cardie:

It was only ever mentioned in the big glossy Star Trek: The Magazine that reprinted all the Fact Files stuff state-side, but based on the design and the capabilities of the 3D program being used I believe it was accurate in saying the energy-focusing ship was a normal 8472 ship that changed shape when they were doing the Death-Star thing. Not that that's much of a reason not model it (there were three Klingon BoPs with different wing-positions, though I misremembered and thought they also made a second Voyager model with the engines rotated up) or even mention it in a tech-book.

Book confirms length of the class as 630 meters.
(By comparison, the Avenger class in STO is 430m).

It reveals no new in-universe details about the ship and class.

Background material includes STO (Perpetual Entertainment era) concept art, and it's discussed how the ship was based on a concept for a game. STO is not referenced by name, for some reason.

New tidbit: The ship was originally meant to be a Starfleet cargo ship appearing in a background shot in eps four or five, and specifically have a 120m-wide cargo door at the front. This is where the little landing bay at the upper bow of the Zheng He comes from.

After the cargo ship was dropped in revisions, there was not meant to be ANY Starfleet ship in the season. Until Eaves got a call to present a Starfleet ship for the season finale. He finished the drawing in one hour, emailed it, and it was VFXed within weeks.

Is that drawing included in the magazine? And if so, does it have additional details (phaser strips, RCS thrusters...) that the CG model doesn't have?
