It will be disappointing for people who thought they were watching a show that was about something other than Wanda working through her grief and (finally) becoming the Scarlet Witch.

And to be honest there's blame on both sides for creating over-inflated expectations. And I see Paul Bettany has fessed up that he was trolling fans with his comments.

“You know when you think something is gonna be funny and then you panic? Which is what I actually did because fans started guessing who it might be. They were guessing people like BC or PS and I was thinking, ‘God, that’s a good idea, and they’re going to be so disappointed when they find out it’s me.'”

I think he was just trying to stop people from expecting some huge shocking twist at the end, when there probably isn't going to be one. At this point, I'm thinking it's mainly going to just be a final confrontation between Hayward with White Vision, and Wanda and her Vision, and how ever that ends will force Wanda to finally deal with her grief over Vision 1.0's death. The big wild card for me is Agatha, I'm not sure what her role in the conclusion will be, but I have a feeling whatever it is, it's probably what leads us into Dr. Strange.

I didn't even read any of his comments, so I'm not even sure what he's was "trolling" people with. I personally started watching this show with no expectations and because I'm bored during lockdown.
I ended up enjoying the show and of course most viewers will make up theories for an unusual show built on a mystery like Wandavision is.
The only thing I know is that it supposedly has some connection to the next Doctor Strange movie.

Wandavision is honestly the most invested I ever was in the MCU (though I did like Captain Marvel and Jessica Jones)
And yes I enjoyed speculating, but when Mephisto doesn't show up (he won't) tomorrow and Fietro, Billy and Tommy all dissolve into nothingness (though I still think the twins do have a chance of surviving) I won't cry about it or be upset or anything. If I'm gonna be disappointed about anything then it's because Wandavision wasn't several episodes longer.

If he means the mutant rumours, honestly i never believed that Wandavision would lead to mutants in the MCU. I feel something about the casting would have leaked. Plus "Wanda twitches her nose and suddenly mutants" would have been way to easy and unsatisfying anyway.
Of course as a huge X-Men fan I would have been happy if it had happened anyway, but I was never counting on it.

My bets, and I’m willing to put fake virtual money on it:
-Vision is revived permanently (white, purple or otherwise)
-Tommy and Billy will survive outside the Hex
-Agatha survives as potential future ally
-Wanda dies (probably sacrificing herself for Vision and her kids). That’s the twist! We all will be racking our brains how she can die if she has a movie coming up next year... Damn... I think I just spoiled the series finale for everyone. Sorry about that ;)

The twist of all Twists. Wanda dies or looses her powers and Agatha becomes the new Scarlet Witch.

And she even takes on Wanda's face and overall appearance. The last shot of the show will be her (as Wanda) smiling at the camera and doing a "shhh" gesture as she walks off into the horizon.
So from that moment on the "Scarlet Witch" appearing in any future movies will be ELizabeth Olsen playing Kathryn Hahn playing Agatha Harkness pretending to be Wanda Maximoff.

Finished my rewatch of the series. Most of the following observations are just small asides that I missed the first time around, but there is one particular thing of interest that stood out which I'll end with.
    • Regarding Jimmy's missing witness, he told Monica during their first meeting that he tried reaching out to the witness' family and friends and Jimmy was surprised to find out that they couldn't even remember the witness. That means two things: One, Wanda's chaos magic extends beyond the reaches of Westview (if only a "simple" memory hex) and two, the fact that the witness had known family and friends that Jimmy could reach means the witness was never going to be Agatha in disguise or XMU Pietro pulled into our universe. At this point, it seems that Jimmy's witness was just a red herring that helped set-up Jimmy and Monica showing up at Westview, which, honestly, is rather disappointing. I had hope for smarter writing regarding the set-up but it's not a big deal.

    • It probably doesn't mean much but the Beehive SWORD agent that apparently was rewound out of existence (since no one ever commented on his disappearance) was named Agent Franklin.

    • This was mostly settled awhile back but it's clear to me now that security footage of Wanda's visit at SWORD wasn't doctored. Instead it was just tightly edited and given a new narrative by Hayward. Nothing more, nothing less. Between that and this time catching the "three weeks" line from Hayward to Monica settles any issues I had with the timeline between Tony's snap and the series start.

    • One thematic element that I missed out on before (and I don't think anyone else commented on) was when the twins were reacting to Sparky's death and Wanda sensed that they were going to age up as a coping mechanism, Wanda said to them "The urge to run from this feeling is powerful. I know." Even though Wanda was still firmly in the grips of her own denial of trauma and grief, she had enough cognizance sense to guide her children away from making the same mistake she made.

    • The SWORD agent who was all business towards Darcy when she first arrived and had no time for her joking around (and was even unwilling to help her move equipment) was later cast in the role of the circus strongman who Darcy then walloped when she and Vision fled the scene. I love little details like that. :D

    • When Wanda first entered Agatha's hidden lair, she looked over at a purple-glowing book, a book that was never commented on during either of the scenes in that lair. The only reason that caught my eye this time around is because the camera focused on it closely at the end of "Breaking the Fourth Wall." I initially thought that was just some small aside, but during the 1697 Salem scene, Agatha was accused by her mother for "[stealing] knowledge above [her] age and station" and "practice[d] the darkest of magic." Those two facts combined reminds me of Kaecilius who did the same thing in Doctor Strange and his magic was also colored purple. I wonder if the book that's in Agatha's possession now had once belonged in the library of Kamar-Taj.

Okay, I have a total brain fart at the moment. I assume BC refers to Benedict Cumberbatch. Who is PS?

Peter Scolari was pretty good in that family friendly tv version of "Honey I Shrink the Kids."

I've been kicked out of Disney plus three times and I haven't even made it past the Marvel Studios fanfare.

I will spoiler text since some are viewing the thread and having problems with the ep not playing.

The emotional performance from Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany was great.
It does feel a tiny bit undelivered in terms of the hyped up/trolled appearance rumors. When Wanda left to figure out her powers I kept waiting for Dr. Strange. When Monica met a Skrull in the first post credit I thought we were going to get Nick Fury or Captain Marvel... When Wanda was at a cabin by a lake I thought we might see Old Man Steve.

But there was nothing. Would a 10 second appearance have drastically changed perception of the finale? No. But there still is that bit of disappointment none the less.

Now as for the episode. Wanda's full-on Scarlet Witch look is beyond awesome. The fight with Agatha was very well done and Wanda embracing her powers being magical was done quite well. We do have a remade white Vision with memories now out there.

The series was basically an extremely powerful person working through immense grief. I would think Agatha gets awakened as Wanda heard her childrens voices which may see the Mephisto type comic storyline visited.

I'm also bummed out "Pietro" was just the producers trolling people casting Evan Peters when he certainly appears to be a normal townie.

I got kicked out of the WandaVision page but stayed in Disney. My second try the episode started just fine.

I'll wait with my comments until more people have watched, so I'll probably binge my way through the whole thing and post later. I will say that Elizabeth Olson was absolutely brilliant and she and Paul Bettany have the best chemistry I've seen in years.

This was Wanda's story and Wanda's resolution. It didn't need any cameo character popping in.

Spoiler free initial reaction to finale -

Didn't quite end as strong as some of the preceding episodes, was very disappointed by the Pietro resolution, liked the stuff pointing forward and...overall fantastic series.

Wanda needs to watch Agents of SHIELD. Nothing good comes from reading that book
