I did these blueprints up late last year, but never shared it here. These are the blueprints I put together of the Shangri-La Class and developed by @AdmiralBuck. He posted the original build log for the scratch built model can be found here. Other more detailed views can be found at my artstation
Are you the same person who asked me that question on Facebook? Yes, I consulted with Bill Krause before I released it, he was very gracious with his time and support.
Reminds me of STARSHIP DESIGN--do outstanding work. I tried my handwith a scaled up Refit here: https://www.trekbbs.com/threads/publiusrs-starship-designs-large-images.260404/ If you would, could you clean up the designs a bit?
I am afraid those blueprints take a tremendous amount of time, usually a month or so of afternoon work, so I wouldn't really be I a position to do that work. However download and learn inkscape, that's all I used and you get the super fine detail that way. It took me a while, but so worth it!
Nicely done! I'm a fan of Bill's original design as well. The natural next question would be... are you making deck plans too?
I would really like to see some deck plans for this ship too as those would give a really nice sense of scale
I have started deck plans for a constellation class a few times now, it is a different beast drawing wise, I may get to this one too one day, but it is definitely down my priority list.
Beautiful work, @mavek! Do you plan on doing his other ships? There's the Hood, Essex, Sentinel, Repulse and Type N Shuttle as well. I think that's the list so far. And yes, John, before you ask, I did get Bill's permission to put those renders up when he started showing them off on RI.
Wow they look fairly good already and I don't think I'd be doing anything new. I am mostly working on my 3d cartoon project now, though I have been working on a schematic version of the probert ambassador class, also called in some places the narendra class.
