I’d like them to do Frasier, with a surprise Tony Stark, sitting on a naff chair in the middle of the living room, like Marty Crane.

They seem to be pretty much just doing the family sitcoms, so I doubt we'll see anything like Friends.

Yeah, Friends is an ensemble. That doesn't fit what they're going for here, which centers on Wanda and Vision.

    TV in Sokvia?

Maybe their national broadcasting network is a little behind, and they are only up to half way though the Bob Newhart show first run?

The whole set looks very Family Ties.

I really think someone else is really running the "show", because I'm not sure Wanda would create a bubble universe with American shows created before she was born (I assume 1989ish like Elizabeth Olsen herself?), when she might not have grown up with in her part of Europe.

I think there will be injokes/references to sitcoms like Friends, but won't come until they reach the '90s.

I think most of those parts of the world probably would have gotten those kind of shows. In a lot of those kinds of places, that was probably the only American culture that they got.

Almost finished the third ep - and loving this series thus far! :D

Bettany and Olsen knock it out of the park, IMO - and it heartens me that Marvel are using their acting talents and giving them a story / focus that is theirs, and not simply part of a larger ensemble piece.

The show is a genius direction and choice of medium, with wonderful homages and nods to shows past.

I see you are in Arizona. Let leave this to those from Europe to comment. For a very long time, I believe, that when many of our American shows aired, these episodes didn't air at all or much later in Europe, especially in the 90s and early 00's.

I'm starting to wonder if whatever is happening to Wanda is akin to the Nexus in 'Generations'. Maybe Wanda was sent in by Sword to investigate this strange reality bubble, became trapped, and realized she can have the life she's always wanted, so now refuses to leave.

It's been interesting so far, but not sure it was really written to be a weekly release show; feels way more set up for a binge. There isn't enough happening up front to work on the mystery of what's going on. So far, it's just weird while we're waiting for the eventual reveal that helps the first part make sense. Needed a stronger thread through it, IMO; right now it's just silly play-acting without a bigger 'so what?', although I recognize that it's definitely coming.

Yes, there have been a couple 'glitches in the matrix' that show it's not normal, but there's no storyline otherwise going on, just homages to old sitcoms thus far...

That's kinda what's a little annoying. It feels a lot like 30 minutes of indulgence in retro sitcoms and about 2 minutes of sinister reveals. If this were a movie, we probably wouldn't be waiting this long. I'd like to see more behind the curtain and less nostalgia. The novelty of the recreations is wearing off for me.

I am looking forward to the inevitable “this is too much like an MCU feature movie! This is not what was advertised/different enough!” comments toward to end of the show,m.

I like this show and don't mind the slower reveals. It is very rare that I have something to look forward to watching each week. I grew up with all these shows they are paying homage to (even the black and white ones) and WV is doing a nice sardonic twist on so many tropes.
Don't know where all of this is heading but it is fun to anticipate

The problem is you guys are treating the sitcom plots as a chore you have to get through to see the big mystery. The sitcom plots are the show. You're supposed to be enjoying the awkward dinner with the Harts, the drunken magic show, and Wanda's antics to hide her pregnancy. You shouldn't be enduring them; you should be enjoying them.
