I finished binge watching Season 3. All very exciting. It's interesting BUT. Non stop action is just too much. Everybody is dressed in black and gray. Some nutty Hollywood idea that the entire production has to have certain colors. You do really good Villains and Osira should have been allowed to live.
You need to slow down the pacing now. You've established what you want to establish. We need some humor, some poker games, some real relationships not just Burnham gazing adoringly at Brook before she goes off to save the universe again. Burnham must step back now so we can have stories about the rest of the cast. Burnham is annoying. Please abandon political correctness. It's avant guard to do so, truly. Be original and drop the "I don't use gender pronouns" nonsense. It's not part of a good story.

"Far From Home", "Forget Me Not", "Unification III", or "The Sanctuary" are definitely NOT non-stop action. "Forget Me Not" is in fact as far from non-stop action as you can possibly get. "Unification III" as well since it's basically in a courtroom of ideas. I'd say any scene in "Terra Firma" not involving the Mirror Universe was also pretty non-action-y.

There's also Saru hosting basically a Thanksgiving Dinner with the entire crew. And a scene with the crew all watching an old movie courtesy of Discovery's AI. Both in "Forget Me Not".

Then there's Admiral Vance and Osyraa hashing out Osyraa's proposal in "There Is a Tide" before Vance ultimately rejects it.

There's more I can add too. But even when there was action, I'd say the action in most the episodes this season was roughly at DS9/VOY level. Most of it isn't that different from Post-TNG, Pre-2009 Trek. "People of Earth" is a prime example of an episode in this range.

The action in "That Hope Is You, Part 2" is roughly comparable to a TNG Movie.

It's easy to just remember "Ohmygodnonstopactionrunningaround!", because it stands out more and is more visceral, but there's more to the show that just that. People who only see "Ohmygodnonstopactionrunningaround!" are selling the show short. I'm not someone who usually watches that sort of thing. So if that's all it was, I would've checked out a long time ago.

Not a good story to YOU. Plenty of people out there like it.

And Star Trek has been “politically correct” since the 60s.

Lower Decks needs to slow down (even how characters speak) but I think Discovery is OK.

TOS can come across rather poorly these days but at the time it was revolutionary for a TV series to address these things at all.

Yes, they all speak like they've had too much coffee. What's up with that?

For ten episodes? That much caffeine can be really bad for your health.

Do not interfere with the development of another culture, unless they have coffee.

Coffee is really a French thing btw (I speak from experience). We like it very strong at that almost liquid-tarlike. (by your standards anyway).

So why is Janeway drinking coffee and Picard drinking tea?

    One more mystery unsolved!

Janeway is American. America runs on coffee.
Picard is an iconoclast. He rejects his Frenchness at every turn. Or alternately, Britain has reacquired it's Continental territories lost by King John and in the 100 Years Wars. As citizen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and France/
Le Royaume-Uni de Grande-Bretagne et de France, Picard's culture is Anglo-French.

That's probably going to be the nature of both serialized seasons and only 13 episodes a season. They have a story to tell and limited time to tell it. There is not a lot of time to spend on filler like card games or morning breakfasts.

Not saying never. Just saying the opportunities are limited
