I just hope we get some of the history filled out between the Picard era and the 32nd century.
What happened to Bajor? The Klingons? The Borg? If the Federation and Starfleet don't know the status of races and empires I'd love to know that too. Just fill out that space in the timeline a bit.

Burnham doesn't like how Burnham is running things onboard DIscovery, so she starts a mutiny against herself.

Kirk was acceptable as being less than believable.

I actually hope they go to mini arcs.......2 or 3 episodes a piece instead of the ONE long main arc.

After a transporter accident that splits her in to her good and evil sides.

I agree with your sentiment, but I hope they don't do it all at once. I hope they do it slowly and not entirely in this series. I'd like for other series to have room to come up with their own ideas for what happened.

Is Saru still going to be a primary character? Now that he is back on his home planet I kind of don't want the character to go back on the Discovery. I am expecting a 2 parter with him mid season that goes into how his people's culture evolved while showing us what he is doing now.

I like Saru. But he escaped his planet to Starfleet, planted the seeds for them to break free from the Ba'ul, served long enough to be a captain, traveled to the future, and is now back home with a culture that has evolved. If he goes back to Starfleet, a command of a Kelpian vessel would be better.

As believable as a fictitious starship captain can be.

I kind of disagree with this. There was a 80 year gap in "history" when TNG started and we still don't know everything that happened between end of TOS era movies and start of TNG. Let Discovery finally move forward without any canon baggage. If we learn stuff naturally, that is ok, but I don't need to know everything.

There will be an episode composed entirely of Grudge doing cat memes. Burnham will change her hairstyle yet again, and will have her braids floating disconnected around her head with magnetic connections, which will be an important plot point during the season finale. A freak transporter accent with Adira will give Gray a body and leave Adira stuck being a voice in his head, until a freak holodeck accident switches them around again. Stamets will be cranky, and Reno will make fun of him for that. Vance will go on holiday and ask Tilly to fill in for him while he's away. Somebody who we believe is dead will in fact be alive. And there will be an episode where all the DOTs go on strike to watch old movies in the shuttlebay together.

A lot of the characters this season seemed to be moving on from the jobs or the places where they started and setting new destinies for themselves. Saru, of course, moved on from the captaincy and instead found purpose on his homeworld. Culber found his calling as a counselor of sorts. Burnham became captain while Book now seems to be in charge of the spore drive, leaving Stamets somewhat out of job. But then, Stamets has never really wanted to be there. He was drafted by Lorca and then tried to quit in season 2 but was forced to stay.

Plot-wise I don't have any predictions for next season, but as for the characters, it seems like it will be a season of transformation. I mean, the crew was thrust together, some unwillingly, because of a war, so I imagine they'll be finding their belonging now.

Would like to hear if there was ever a bigger galactic war than the Dominion War. In fact, what's up with the Gamma Quadrant now?

Yes! I'd like to know what has happened in the Gamma Quadrant. While the Dominion lost in the Alpha Quadrant, they were untouched in the Gamma Quadrant. Yeah, Odo went to pacify them, but they are arguably in a stronger position after the war than the Federation and the Alpha Quadrant.

Exactly so. Move forward. That was the whole point of the time jump but apparently it's supposed to be a "Where are They Now?" segment.

We will visit Xahea…or what’s left of it, considering that it’s a dilithium rich world. Its surprising that Tilly or anyone else did not inquire as to what became of that world after The Burn.

There will be a showdown between United Earth and the New Federation, with Discovery caught in the middle.

We will learn what became of the Ent-J, DS9, the Dominion, Breen, Remans and Delta Quadrant species. S1 referenced pre-TOS era/ENT era, S2 referenced TOS era, and S3 referenced TNG era. Makes sense that S4 references post-TNG era.

The Discovery crew will have tensions with the Romulans on Ni’Var. Remember, Discovery still comes from the era were the Federation and the Romulans are mortal enemies.

The holo-communicator will return to the bridge.

    More melodrama and crying.

The show will basically be TOS in the 32nd century.

Given Michael is now in command, and her personal life is in order, I am guessing a lot of drama will have to do with learning she can't actually be a friend and a commanding officer at the same time. She'll be put at least one situation where she has to reprimand a crewmember (preferably someone on the main cast like Tilly).

I also expect that Book will have an awkward time of it. I mean, he seems to like Starfleet now, and even asked about joining. But he can't go an have his girlfriend be his commanding officer. So does he awkwardly stick around as a houseguest/sugar baby, or does he have to leave, with them trying the whole LTR thing?

The Doctor's mobile emitter was 29th century tech, so they must have a better version of it by the 32nd century. Think Eli, but mobile.

I could see Saru being promoted to Rear Admiral in charge of operations of something. Then he could still go along with Discovery whenever needed.
