By the time they filmed the finale, I’m sure they didn’t have the money left in the budget to upgrade the sets. Probably see the upgrades next season.

Am I the only that was a bit disappoint in the space battle with Starfleet? I mean, they name drop Voyager but all we saw was a few "pew pew" shots in the distance between ships. The ships barely move or do anything. And when the Ni'Var fleet shows up, they are told the stand back so they don't do much fighting on screen. I kind of thought we would get a more epic space battle between Starfleet and the Emerald Chain.

My feelings about DIS have been up and down this whole season, but I liked the finale. I can overlook the infinite turbolift chasm, and the crew ditching their 23rd-Century uniforms for the new 32nd-Century ones was a turning of the page moment for me. It's a new beginning, and hopefully the show (and its characters) will now look forward rather than look backward.

Just finished it, after 4 hours. Just couldn't watch it in one go.
Worst episode of Discovery. And that's saying a lot. By far.. 0/10, since I can't actually give a 0 in the poll, how about I'll give a point for Lts. Nilsson and Ina both surviving. Yeah, there you go.
New uniforms suck, but not the worst thing in the finale, by far. Burn was caused by the poor baby crying over his dead mother. How stupid. Space battles, worst battles in all Trek history. Captain Burnham... pfft, so "unexpected". No previews of any other shows, so no more Trek to look forward to in the near future. But thank got atleast we won't have Discovery to deal with for a while too. So glad it's over..

We? I just want to make clear you don’t talk for me. I find it a shame there’s no more Discovery to watch. I like it. So it might be good for you, but not for all of us. It does beg the question about why you put yourself through such torture.

They should have just reused the shot of 218 Romulan warbirds from Picard to show the Ni'var reinforcements

We haven't really talked about the turbolift shafts lately, have we?

Is it a special hub that uses a hybrid system of magnetic conduction and point-to-point transporters? Or are the lifts themselves programmable matter moving through a holographic medium of forcefields and forced perspective? Or has Willy Wonka's factory been incorporated into the ship?

    I dunno. Maybe it's a trap.

Well, according to DS9 turbolifts can go into a freefall in what looks like a rigid turboshaft. The description changes constantly from episode to episode as for so many things star trek. It's a perpetual retcon of technology.

I mean how could you possibly be aware in a transporter beam if you're reduced to patterns? That doesn't make any sense.

Yes, the first time I learned what the Mandela effect was I couldn't stop laughing. How is that even possible to believe such a thing? We all know that Mandela never went out of jail... right?:vulcan:
