I only know about "Die Hard" from the Bob's Burgers Episode where the kids mix it with "Working Girl" and turn it into a musical called "Work Hard or Die Trying, Girl!" From what I gather there's something about German terrorists who take over a business tower and Bruce Willis' character fights them while not wearing shoes?
The only movie with Bruce Willis I like is "the Fifth Element" and that one is more a case "I like it despite it being a Bruce Willis movie"

    How's this for controversial:

I freaking LOVE the Turbolift Funhouse from DSC.

I couldn't give two shits how plausible it is, I just find it very refreshing that they do things like this just because it looks cool!

That's basically it, yeah (although not all the terrorists are German).

And the reason Bruce isn't wearing shoes is because of an earlier scene where somebody tells him how you can beat jet lag by walking around barefoot on your hotel room's carpet and making fists with your toes. He tries this and finds out that it actually works! (It does, BTW. ;) ) The terrorists know that he's barefoot and they intentionally shoot the windows so he'll injure his feet on the glass shards.

Honestly, that film isn't really a Bruce Willis film like other films of his became. It is definitely a Luc Besson film, but I can imagine a lot of other people in Willis' role, which is more than I can say for most of his other films.
To build on top of that-I don't care about the visuals inside of a ship. I love starships a lot, but the way Trek puts in VFX some times doesn't makes sense, among other design choices. So, if it is wacky and cool that's fine by me. It doesn't nothing to impact my enjoyment of the story.

IMHO it's more likely they would use a completely different system.

Still, it does make some sort of sense that they found out about the Federation's naming system for quadrants and adopted it themselves, to fit into the "standard".

When did this happen, BTW?

^ No, I meant when did a species from Gamma or Delta quadrants actually refer to themselves that way.

At the great Dominion naming standard after their scouts found another quadrant. The Founders are know for their organizational skills.

In case it isn't clear I am being extremely sarcastic.

Jake should have ended up with Ezri instead of Julian at the end of DS9.

Anything would have been better than Ezri/Julian, they had so little chemistry it veered into chemistry deficit.

  15. Ezri only loved him because of unresolved feelings from Jadzia, Julian only loved her for what remained of Jadzia in her.

The main problem with the relationship is that it didn't have time to develop because it was the last season and they had a million things on their plate.
Once again why I think Ezri should have shown up by season 4 or 5.

I'd have rathered Jadzia just stuck around for the finsl season.

Besides Ezri's whole journey is based around her joining with Dax and coming to terms with the consequences - how people who knew Jadzia react to her and can she live up to the symbiont's previous host.

Thin is I vastly prefer both Ezri to Jadzia and Nicole de Boer to Terry Farrel. I thought Jadzia was a very badly written and obnoxious character and Ezri was a lot better handled both with general characterization and with how Trills worked.
(Just to be clear I don't have any negative feelings regarding Terry Farrel, just Jadzia. With Farrel I just liked Nicole de Boer better)

Yeah, Ezri's journey is based around that, but at least she had a journey, unlike Jadzia who was just the best at everything. I feel in some ways we got a better idea at who Ezri was and what makes her tick in one season than who Jadzia is, like we know nothing about Jadzia's family or who she was before she joined. And her relationship with Worf was solely based on Kurzon liking Klingon culture.

    Really? I don't think Nicole/Ezri can hold a candle to Terry/Jadzia.

    Agree to disagree then. :)
