Well one positive of them doing this big push with the simultaneous movie release next year is it made get on the ball with Max support finally. Missing features like no 4K and HDR along with not being on Fire TV and Roku devices were massive holes.

Yesterday my Roku HBO App turned itself into into an HBOMax App with full access. At the same time my DC Universe App deactivated. The DCU App on my tablet is still working as normal. I believe it isn't scheduled to turn into pure comics app until January.

Thanks for the heads up. I had just checked earlier this week and they still had the HBO Go app on my Roku.

Oh, and if anyoneis interested.... the movie Superintelligence starring Melissa McCarthy has starte don HBOMax. Nice funny little movie. Probably won't be considered a "classic", but it DOES reference "actual" classics throughout.

If you just want to be entertained in a silly way, it's a good comedy worth watching. (Certainly for our family)

I tried watching Wonder Woman 84 with the Xfinity cable box and then on the Xbox Series X and was not satisfied at all. Tried the Fire Stick and the TV actually recognized Dolby Atmos and looked proper UHD so if you’re getting subpar performance you may want to try different apps if you have access to others.

I can't wait to get back to the theater once COVID-19 is handled. I belong to Regal Unlimited (subscription service). We just need to see where we are in the next six to 12 months.

I cancelled my HBOMax subscription and went back to Netflix today. I'll switch back again in few months.
I've been pretty happy with HBOMax so far, it's run well on my PS4 and I've enjoyed pretty much everything I've watched.

I just noticed that Babylon 5 will be on HBO Max at the end of January. I haven’t seen it since it first ran.

A beloved, multi-billion dollar franchise that raised a generation of kids is not going to be thrown in the trash because of some bigoted comments from its creator. Harry Potter is going to continue for a long time and I wouldn't be surprised to see a Harry Potter Cinematic Universe in the near future.

A series following a quartet of characters (one from each house) over seven seasons, with the ability to go far more in-depth on each year compared to a movie, could be very cool. Normally I'm all for creators maintaining control over their properties rather than a corporate conglomerate, but in this case it's a shame that Rowling would likely have to be very much involved in the show.

I'd prefer the series to be set outside of Hogwarts. Maybe follow some Aurors or the American school. Let's branch things out a bit.

Forgetting about JK Rowling, I do love the idea of a series set in the Wizarding World. It's fun world, and a long form series would be a great way to really expand it out even more.
Like @Kelthaz, I would like to see it set outside of Hogwarts. I really liked the bits and pieces we got to see of the lives of witches and wizards outside of the school, and wouldn't mind seeing the show explore that more. Aurors would be my preference since would give us the easy hook of it basically being a cop show with witches and wizards.

Hey -- just wondering how you guys like the format of the HBOmax app? Personally, i find it a bit frustrating because i can't seem to find shows or movies i recently watched very easily (unlike Netflix), or a list of things i want to watch, or a queue.

Anybody else working it better than I seem to be?
