    I do.

If I have any critique it's that it leans a little hard on the pew-pew instead of the live action.

    Pretty!

And I like how you integrated decades-old Takei footage obviously shot outdoors with your indoor bridge set (I don`t know if your bridge set was virtual or practical, but nevertheless, well done)

Looks great, can't wait! I had actually managed to forget that Shigeta was in this, very cool.

If I may ask without being too impertinent, what's with the shot where the guy shooting a phaser appears to be a still shot with comped-in blink/face?

Also, has there been any thought to a possible "vintage" version where all the modern stuff was made to match the older stuff visually? Just curious. :)

That is really just a temp shot, and I may remove that from the trailer this weekend. We were experimenting on ways to put Lt. Pond on the ship in the new footage. We actually went back and filmed a new phaser shot this weekend, and are looking at possibly using "deep fake" technology to put Lt. Pond's face from the 80s over the body double. In the end, we will only use the shot if it works.

Over the weekend, I uploaded the trailer again and made a few more tweaks to the new footage, to blend it with the 80s footage more.

I was buying Starlog in the early 80s and I clearly remember reading about Yorktown back then. It really is fascinating that something like this may finally be completed after more than 35 years.
These articles fill in some of the unknowns about the complicated history of this production. Someone should really try to make a video documentary based on these articles, and soon as George Takei is getting on in years. (with some side trips to Joe Kerezman's own fan production?)

EDIT: I'm reading each chapter of these blogs and just did a combination spit take and eyeroll at the same time: The writer , Jonathan Lane actually ends his chapter 4 page by saying chapter 5 will visit the coldest place on earth: Oklahoma city in December. I just burst out laughing after a quick Google search revealing the weather at this place and time tends to be -1 degrees Celcius. Lane sure wouldn't like to visit MY hometown in February when it reaches lows of -34 degrees C...

Lane lives in SoCal. He probably thinks cold is when it gets below 70ºF.

Color correction on the film is now complete. We have 4 additional VFX shots to finish up, which should be done by Dec 1st. Work continues on the music score. The film will premier on Dec 25th, and we also have a "special surprise" that will be released online 4 weeks before the actual film.

"Into The Unknown" is a song recorded by Canadian singer Rayna. The song is featured in the end credits of the Star Trek fan-film "Yorktown: A Time to Heal". Check out the video, featuring footage from the Sulu fan film!
